No you were quite clear on your thoughts and feelings on the subject. You're terrified that the white majority will be overrun by people of color in this country both illegal and otherwise. You said it in your own words.

You sound just like Americans in the past when they hated the Irish immigrants etc. God help us if we get too may Irish here they said. And they treated them like dirt and denied them employment. Funny they assimilated anyway and many of us have Irish descendants.

So at this pace...they’ll be 1/2 the population in ...oh...about 700 years!!

I live in Iowa too. And not that anyone is believing the hyperbole spouted here, there is no immigrant “takeover” of Iowa’s 4th district.

Edit: no I don’t live in the 4th district, but I do have family in Sac County. I also ride my bike across the state every year, so get to “enjoy” that part of the state at least every other year, depending on the route. Storm Lake - one of the towns often cited as having an unusually high percentage of immigrants (due to a large meatpacking plant there) was a wonderful overnight stop on my bike trip about 5 years ago.

And no broad-brushing here...Iowans in general are extremely nice, pleasant folks to be around. But there’s no denying a large segment of them harbor feeling as expressed by Rep. King.

This thread just might be the most blatantly racist in the BN section I've seen yet. Just a bit of advice - stop digging deeper. Please stop. You clearly have no case, or valid argument and at this point are just doubling down.

Your entire premise that the whites are being replaced in your district due to a 1% decrease in the whiteness and then suggesting, well blatantly stating, that people of color need your permission to move in to your district is completely appalling.

Here's someone else who either doesn't know the meaning of racist or wishes to change the meaning of racist...Complaining about illegal immigration isn't racism. I know how Trump feels, now.

You are complaining that there are too many colored people in your district who didn't get your permission before moving in. That isn't "complaining about illegal immigration". That is racist.

When you think things are bad because the white percentage has dropped in your area......you are racist.
When you think a person needs permission to live in an area because of their skin color.....you are racist.

There is a huge gap between saying "illegall immigration is a problem" or "illegal immigration must be stopped" or something similar and what you are saying.

Were you taken to court for racial discrimination by the federal government too? Were you then made to pay out settlements for said discrimination? What about calling for the death penalty on men of color for a crime they didn't commit? You ever done that and then never admitted you were wrong? Were you complaining about 'chain' immigration while your wife was taking advantage of it?

If yes, then yeah, I guess you know how Trump feels.

I'm not sure we can realistically expect people to stop something when stopping would leave them with nothing at all.

No you complained about immigrants, and we know you're not referring to white people coming down from Canada, but the Hispanics that work the farms and meat packing plants in Iowa. So your attempt to be cute is a failure.

If there's anything to admire about Richard Spencer and his ilk it is they're at least honest and open about their white supremacy/nationalism. You can't manage that much.

The district didn't "allow" Omar to be elected, they elected Omar.

The issue is much more complex than King being a moron or Omar getting elected. The issue is more about the electorate. People throughout America are uninformed and willfully ignorant. That translates to "stupid and wanting to remain stupid". Most Americans don't vote and likely a good percentage of Americans who do vote simply follow the party ticket. It's why Americans continue to have elected officials such as King or Arpaio, for example.

Some of that blame belongs to broadcast and social media. Not to long ago people actually read newspapers and magazines. Television news was not an all day gig on multiple TV "news" channels. Americans had to at least think a little bit in the process of being informed. That is no longer the case. It isn't going to change.

If you have ever spent any time with local, state or nationally elected politicians you know that more than a few are dumber than a bag of hammers. Really. No, really.

Yes, there are some bright people holding office but IMHO they are outnumbered by dullards, dummies and fools.

America can do something about that but I don't see it happening. Americans truly do not want to be involved in democracy. If Americans refuse to be involved in their own governance something else must fill the void and it has.

Maybe I'm mistaken. You are complaining about the percentage of white people in your area dropping a percent. Let me know which one it is you are complaining about.

A: White people moved in without your permission and white people moving there caused the white population to drop somehow and you are complaining about your inability to understand things.
B. You are complaining that people of color moved in without your permission causing the white percentage to drop a percent.

Well you know, the rot started with the Irish. They were dirty, drunken, disease-ridden unassailables who took jobs from hardworking Americans and were a drain on social resources. Such as they were in 1850. If we hadn't let them in the rest of us garbage wouldn't have followed,
