Trump claims credit for Shell plant announced under Obama

Because it was already planned?

Something being planned doesn't mean it'll be built.

Heck, at one time Intel spent a lot of money planning to build a chip fab plant in Colorado Springs. In fact, they bought a building, put a lot of money into it and started production. They also bought a big piece of property to build the new plant. Three years later, they shut the whole thing down...built a plant in Utah or someplace.

Moral of the story: Announcements and plans mean nothing. Construction means everything. When did construction start on this Shell plant? (hint: Nov 2017)

So you think Trump is responsible for it?

So you think Trump is responsible for it?

I think Trump created the environment that caused them to make their decision to move forward.

And you actually believe trump had ever heard of it at that time???

But he's right; it wouldn't have happened under Obama, and in fact didn't. Obama took great thrills in closing factories, Trump, not so much! ;)

Tim-

If you don't have proof to back up your assertions, you are just a member of the cult.

Tired of *****-footing, time to call out the cult members.

I think Trump created the environment that caused them to make their decision to move forward.

But we know they had already made that decision.
You can't BS your way through this, Trump is a morally bankrupt ass hole who pilfered credit he can't earn on his own. Only those blinded by there own emotions fail to see what is painfully obvious to the rest of us.

Nothing matters to his base. If he claimed the credit, he must be responsible for it happening. Ask any of his supporters.

He also claims credit for a veterans program that predated him.

So he "sought" to take credit.. LOL

Why is it seemingly so difficult these days for the media to just write the story without editorializing it?

Tim-

Then just how the **** would you know what the truth really is? Not that you really care.

Tim-

“This would have never happened without me and us.” does seem to be an attempt to take credit for something - doesn't it?

If anyone had actually believed him, then the correct phrasing would have been

"Trump took credit for something that Obama had done.".

If anyone had NOT actually believed him, then the correct phrasing would have been

"Trump sought to take credit for something that Obama had done (but failed because the claim was patently false)."
or, alternatively

"Trump took credit for something that Obama had done, but no one believed him because it was patently obvious that he had nothing whatsoever to do with it and was merely spouting off self-aggrandizing falsehoods again. At present it is unknown if Trump was so unaware of reality that he actually knew that what he said was false or if he was simply lying in the hopes that some ignorant people would believe him."

Which of the last two would you have preferred?

Remember all the cons calling Obama the campaigner in Chief? I wonder what they now think about Trump stealing tax payer money by turning every official event into a campaign rally?

Oh no, it's completely different when Trump does it.

Because reasons.

I remembered they got really pissed off about all his golfing too.

But partisans have no integrity, so what was bad for Obama is good for Trump.

Trump deserves credit. It happened on his watch.

I bought new bath towels today. Does Trump deserve credit for that too?

What action did Trump take that influenced this project?
