FBI investigating shots fired at ICE offices in San Antonio

Why are you against our freedom to speak to one another? Not very "liberal" of you attempting to stifle our discussion.

Why don't you get a padded room if you can't handle a civil discussion between two posters?

Somehow the word "civil" is not exactly the word that comes to mind after reading that trash. But by all means it's your 1st Amendment right to go on with embarrassing yourselves in a public forum if you so choose. Just remember that we have a the same right to snicker at it.

Two wrongs do not make a right.

There seems to be an alternate reality in the blaming of mass shootings and, for example in a side note, the definitions of racism and fascism. Which definitions should be used? Shouldn't we all have the same definitions?

And what is the voting public saying about the government's role in fixing broken people?

SIAP. What is the voting public saying about fixing broken people?

The Rethuglican party has caused the term "illegal" to be an acceptable slur for any brown-skinned person who commits the misdemeanor of being in our country without proper documentation. Instead of saying "Trump is dehumanizing desperate people who are seeking a better life," they label them with that slur. It's been an open way of pushing a false narrative.

illegal aliens (plural noun)
a foreign national who is living without official authorization in a country of which they are not a citizen.
That's the dictionary definition. Equating "brown skinned" people with the term illegal alien is your inference. If a "white skinned" person from another country jumps the border, they too would be an illegal alien. I'm sure the people on this forum know the difference between legal, and illegal. There are a lot of Democrats, and Republicans both that benefit from illegal immigration. One side for cheap labor, the other for votes. The question is, how many American citizens are against illegal immigration. Better yet, how many Americans, that worked hard for years , and went through the process legally to become a citizen, are against it. We'll find out in 2020.

"Illegal" as a noun is a slur. It is not difficult to understand this.

But you said " an acceptable slur for any brown-skinned person". You didn't say for any person, you said specifically "brown skinned person". So the racial component is your own inference. You conflated race with legal status. I know when I hear the word "illegal", I don't think race. I think about as it pertains to law. It's self explanatory. Illegal immigrant, illegal gun, illegal drug, illegal lane change, illegal entry...….etc.

Oh yeah, I'm sure a Trumpster such as yourself wouldn't have taken it that way at all. :lamo :lamo :lamo

You are deliberately conflating what I said. Let's think about the examples you gave: Immigrant, gun, drug, lane change, entry. Only one of these is a person. Furthermore, of all the crimes out there on the book, the one you people choose to label its violators with this slur are people from our south who violate the misdemeanor of immigration law. Why aren't all the people from Europe, Canada, and Asia who are here without proper documentation thought of with that label?

Human beings are not illegal.

Um, if they are here illegally, they are by definition illegal immigrants. It doesn't matter though, as the left has changed the subject of the illegal immigration to racism. I guess we'll see in 2020. Let me ask you this, are you for open borders?

You prove my point. Anytime a "Trumpster" engages the left in the debate of illegal immigration and how to solve the crisis at the southern border, they are called a racist, or bigot, or a xenophobe, or any of the name calling from the democrat playbook to shut down the conversation. We will speak to how it drives down wages, put a strain on entitlement programs meant for citizens, human trafficking and the flow of drugs over the southern border, and the left will play the race card. Like I said, in 2020, we will see it the majority of Americans support open borders, or not. I do not. Do you?

I didn't call you any of those things. (not that I would've been wrong). I don't see you debating or offering solutions to anything in here. All I see you doing here is running around dealing out ad-homs and race cards.

Good, you are shifting away from the slur. And you didn't answer my question.

Human beings are not illegal.

People who are in the US illegally are illegal aliens, no matter what foreign country they are citizens of.

End of story.

Supporters of fascism tend to use "illegal" as a noun to dehumanize people who are here without proper documentation. This is a necessary step for their intentions to oppress a group of people, as we do not mistreat people whom we consider to be value. But by calling a group of people a literal violation of the law, they dehumanize them. History shows what would happen next.

I don't care what type of ideological triggered BS you want to apply. Nor what kind of juvenile name calling you want to engage in.

The path to genocide never, ever goes straight from normalcy and acceptance to mass slaughter. There is always a pathway. Grouping people is a very early stage, and it is debatable whether simply self-grouping puts us on the path. But it is not debatable whether dehumanization does. The "illegal" slur is designed to do precisely that. The awful thing is that Trump has taken us much farther than Stage 4 against undocumented migrants from the south.

Wow, "genocide" is now part of the propaganda supporting the hope for destruction of national sovereignty and encouragement of illegal aliens to achieve that goal.

The arguments from the open borders crowd is increasingly detaching itself from Earthly bonds......

If it had just been derogatory comments by the President of the United States, that would have been a problem in its own right. But he took things much, much further than that. In his concentration camps, this is what he did to them:

Their property is often expropriated. Sometimes they are even segregated into ghettoes, deported into concentration camps, or confined to a famine-struck region and starved. They are deliberately deprived of resources such as water or food in order to slowly destroy them.

That's from Stage 8--persecution--the final stage before mass killing.

LOL

More nonsense.

I think I'll just leave you to it.

Good luck selling it.

This leads us to the final stage of genocide. It isn't mass killing: it's denial.

They deny that they committed any crimes, and often blame what happened on the victims. They block investigations of the crimes, and continue to govern until driven from power by force, when they flee into exile.

Saying that the term "illegal alien" is a slur doesn't make it one. I live in a border state and have heard/read this neutral phrase all my life and can only roll my eyes at this semantic game.
