The president retweeted a conspiracy theory Saturday that suggested a connection between former President Bill Clinton and the death of the wealthy financier and accused sex trafficker.

President Donald Trump retweeted a conspiracy theory Saturday evening alleging without evidence that former President Bill Clinton was connected to the death of wealthy financier and accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, hours after Epstein was found dead by apparent suicide in his federal prison cell.
"Died of SUICIDE on 24/7 SUICIDE WATCH ? Yeah right! How does that happen," Terrence K. Williams, a conservative commentator and comedian, wrote in the message retweeted by Trump. In a two-minute-long selfie video recording, Williams alleged that the Clintons were responsible for Epstein's death.

I want everyone to think about this for a moment. The president of the United States is retweeting an accusation that the Clinton's killed Jeffrey Epstein. I read an article about Epstein yesterday (among many others of course) and was shocked at the comments. Every single one of the comments was a rant against the Clintons, blaming them for murdering Jeffrey Epstein, some even commented that the Clinton's had already murdered a few others including Seth Rich. Donald Trump, the president is actually agreeing with a tweet blaming Clinton for murder. That's like Richard Nixon accusing Lyndon Johnson of murdering John Kennedy. Kellyanne Conway actually doubled-down on this accusation this morning on Fox.
 
It's interesting that an "ex" friend of Epsteins with everything to lose from his potential revelations, and total control over his captivity, should seek to blame an outsider. It's not like Trump has ever accepted responsibility for anything.

Epstein told authorities that someone tried to kill him weeks ago in July. I heard on Fox yesterday that bruises were found on his neck, the man on Fox described the bruises as fingerprints.

My question is why, since July 23 and Epstein's first "suicide" attempt are we just finding out today that he claimed it was an attempt on his life? The Justice Dept says Epstein was on suicide watch and taken off suicide watch on the first of the month. So that means that a suicide attempt and suicide watch was removed one week after the incident. Were there any counselors or psych professionals called in? Why on earth would he be taken off suicide watch? The answer is because the JD wanted him DEAD so he couldn't talk. That's the only logical explanation because it's the DOJ that controls what happens inside the Manhattan Correctional Facility.

What is really sad here is no one seems to have much interest in talking about Epstein's victims.

However there was such an interest in his death and seemingly so that the political spin machine could weaponize any picture found to shield their own and brand opposition as being part of Epstein's horrible actions. That may have spanned decades to unknown numbers of victims out there understandably unwilling to come forward and have their stories thrown into this political foolishness.
 
I, like many other people, voted for Candidate Trump because he was the lesser of two evils.

Many of us do not agree with his vulgar and unkind comments.

His tweet mentioned in the OP is disgusting.

I thought that the El Paso massacre would humble him a bit.

I agree that any and all connections to Epstein should be thoroughly investigated and those who resist would appear to have something to hide.

That's not true. The suspicious death of Jeffrey Epstein has made many rich, powerful and politically connected men very happy. It has also stolen from those abused women an chance to get some justice and closure. I'm sure that most people knew when they heard the details of the Epstein case, that he would never leave that prison walking, he'd be rolled out on a gurney feet first.

People have no clue how Epstein made his millions, and it was not as a hedge fund guy in the stock market. He made all his millions by selling girls for sex then blackmailing those men to keep their dirty secrets.

Yep. The focus has been bringing Epstein to justice with the hopes that will bring some kind of closure for the victims. From a sensationalist perspective though, it's the idea of toppling all sorts of well known figures that gets clicks and eyeballs unfortunately.

What I'm waiting for is the video which confirms Epstein killed himself. If that goes "missing", then there should be hell to pay and every stone should be unturned.

Fortunately, his death isn't the end of the story. All of his records are now in the hands of investigators with no one to challenge their admission in court.
 
As his gaucheries continue to accumulate, it becomes more and more difficult to assign reasoned purpose to the actions of President of the United States Donald Trump other than those of self-interest. How else can we explain the recent picture of the President grinning for the camera and making a 'thumbs up' gesture while holding an infant whose parents have just been murdered by a mass shooter?
 
It's interesting that "Liberals" are divided into those who suspect foul play, and those who caution not rushing into conspiracy theories. Meanwhile Trump retweets an old recycled conspiracy theory, to crickets from Conservatives.

No Epstein fan, but the bolded doesn’t make sense. If this was Epstein’s MO, word would have to get out and people would avoid dealing with him in a very short time. That’s not a model for long term income stream, imo.

Bill Barr has jurisdiction over the bureau of prisons. He can order a video of Epstein’s suicide any time he wants.

1- James McDougal – Clintons convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr’s investigation.

2 – Mary Mahoney – A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown .. The murder …happened just after she was to go public w:th her story of sexual harassment in the White House.

3 – Vince Foster – Former White House counselor, and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock’s Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.

4 – Ron Brown – Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown’s skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the Air Traffic controller commited suicide.

5 – C. Victor Raiser, II – Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.

6 – Paul Tulley – Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock , September 1992. Described by Clinton as a “dear friend and trusted advisor”.

7 – Ed Willey – Clinton fundraiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.

8 – Jerry Parks – Head of Clinton’s gubernatorial security team in Little Rock .. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock Park’s son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.

9 – James Bunch – Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a “Black Book” of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas

12 – Bill Shelton – Arkansas State Trooper and fiancee of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancee, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiancee.

13 – Gandy Baugh – Attorney for Clinton’s friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.

14 – Florence Martin – Accountant & sub-contractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal, Mena, Arkansas, airport drug smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds.
