Because they are not proud of being straight so much as they dislike the gay pride parade's. It may be that they are wanting their march to get as much media attention as the Unite the Right rally, who knows.

I think let the idiots march if they comply with all the rules and regulations and then line the street with people laughing at them in their faces with signs mocking their insecurity. Make the real party the people watching and not the people marching.

Or better yet, make them march in front of empty streets, letting them know they are pathetic losers for thinking they need anything like a straight pride march. Because besides gay pride marches almost all marches are of straight people.

I can't stand gay pride parades... not because they are gay but because I don't enjoy seeing guys half naked in leather kissing each other and cheering in near tears about walking down the street... but I totally understand why they do it too... because of centuries of oppression... and it has nothing to do with hypocrisy.

I don't see the big deal here. Let them march, consistent with policies already established, including those with respect to insurance. If we can handle men in white robes or swastikas marching down main street, we can manage to survive these silly people who think they are making a point.

I'm not claiming them to be the hypocrite. The hypocrites are the ones supporting such parades, then refusing others.

I'm sorry that you jump to conclusions. Just because you don't have an answer, doesn't mean someone else has motivations outside our thinking. Then to condemn others for the actions you don't even try to understand, shows very poorly on your morality and behavior. It proves you are self righteous authoritarian, just like the Christian types you probably despise.

I myself, am one to take an action just to show hypocrisy. I understand the point of view to take such actions just to show the world the hypocrisy.

What if that is all it is for most these people?

Instead of assigning blame and guilt that you don't understand, you should ask these people "why" first.

And yes, we heterosexuals are harassed all the times, by the left who assumes we are bigots, when all we want to do is be left alone.

When have you ever been harassed for being heterosexual? I'm also hetero and I have never once been harassed by anyone in the LGBTQ community for being hetero.I have been in many gay bars with LGBT friends and the only thing that has ever happened was being offered a drink or hit on by a lesbian. In my experience, they are very much live and let live.

If I may ask, who is not letting you alone and what were the circumstances when this action happened?

He tries to claim that calling somebody a bigot is harassment.
When people do not have evidence to support their arguments, they try to change definitions to something sooo broad that the word loses its meaning and then everyone can claim whatever he wants. By his definition, gays are harassed by Christians who claim that gays are immoral or sinners.
 
To my fellow, white, straight males who want this march to happen, I would like the say the following to you:

Stop acting like a pack of insecure, chicken-little, millenial victims.

We, as white, straight males, are NOTvictims. We don't need a parade for being straight since we are not being oppressed for being straight. There's no need to show pride for it as no one is mocking us or enacting laws on us that ban us from our basic freedoms based on our skin color or heterosexual orientation.

If you really feel the need for a parade, there are plenty to join that have nothing to do sexuality. If you are Irish, Polish, German, etc....there are plenty of parades and groups to join to feel proud about THAT. Or, you can belong to a group that works for the community like the Shriners or the OddFellows. Sure, you might have to wear silly hats, but you get to help out kids with cancer...that's a good trade off, I think.

Man, you conservatives need to quit acting like snowflakes and crybabies.....

The sopltuion is very simple. Don't be a bigot., Treat others as you want them to treat you.

Jesus was very strict about this idea. Luke 6:31 and Matthew 7:12.

Jesus never mentioned LGBT people. Those people who love to quote Leviticus only pay attention to one passage and ignore the rest. Why is it that they ignore most of Leviticus, or should we state the obvious that the pick and choose what legitimatizes their bigotry?

Jesus was very clear about not judging others. Luke 6:37.

Can someone please explain to me why people are proud of something that is not their choice and they are not be harassed or discriminated for? Heterosexuals are 90+% of the country Christians are 70% of the country and nobody is trying to take rights away from either group.

It is to the point where I can only guess that WASP males feel threatened because other people have the same rights that they do so white males no long have political and social control of the country. When they are used to privlidge, equality feels like oppression. They are afraid that others will now treat them like they have treated former minorities in the past.
