I'm not an attorney. I leave a discussion on the nuance of how criminal law works to my wife, who is an attorney, although she doesn't specifically practice criminal law.

I'm sure there are ways, but with the main player no longer in existence, those ways become far more difficult to prove.

Of course his fate was in the hands of Trump's DoJ. "Going to get involved" is not the same as him being held on Federal Charges aka fate in Trump's DoJ's hands.

Let me reiterate, "going to" isn't is.

I know I am not among any group of "obsessed", well except maybe for those obsessed with hot and spicy foods...a blessing, and a curse.

Personally, not having any professional education as a coroner, and not having any training as a medical examiner, but having medical training as a nurse, I found that the bruises that were found on his neck in July after his first 'suicide attempt' are the most revealing sign that this was an attempted murder in July. People that attempt to hang themselves do not have bruises contemporaneous with hanging. Jeffrey Epstein found on floor of NYC jail cell with bruising on his neck - Chicago Tribune

Was an investigation of those bruises conducted and if so, what was the judgement about those bruises? I haven't read anything that explained that whole event. Was he alone in his cell or did he have a roommate? What did he use to try to hang himself, was it a rope, a belt, what was it? Being on suicide watched after that first attempt would first of all remove any materials that he could possibly use to hang himself.

Jeffrey Epstein died this morning, one day after 'disturbing' court documents had been unsealed.

We'll just disagree.. But NYS, New Mexico, NJ were all going to go after him when the Feds were done with him. Hell, NYS is already looking into some of his 'Johns'... A 'friendly' Fed prosecutor or DOJ wasn't going to be enough this time.

There was always a chance he would have gotten a not guilty verdict without indicting anyone else or been pardoned by Obese Donald.

So dead guarantees he has no chance of ever corrupting the world again.

A win, if not a "win, win".
