House Condemns Trump’s Attack on Four Congresswomen as Racist

No, this is deflection, one of the 3-D's of the Trumpeteer.

Pointing out that Trump is divisive isn't hyperbolic, it's fact.

Nope, challenging your hyperbole isn't deflection.

You've embarrassed yourself here. No wonder you're a Trump supporter.

Tres, you're just babbling. Time to put the paint brush down. You're not going to babble your way out of this corner.

lol

Trump is divisive, there's no real argument against that. But keep on with the deflections if that's how you feel you must argue.

lol

I'm not babbling. You don't know what you're talking about.

These Congresswomen, by the way, are not state government representatives. We have this thing called "Federal Government", and they are representatives of their states in that government.

Do you know anything about civics?

Now you move the goal posts, so I guess we're done here. Thanks for playing.

Again, you contradict your own arguments. These four are exactly the representatives of the people of the state. They represent the people of the state at the federal level. The Senate supposedly represents the state. Somewhere along the line someone decided the states no longer needed representation at the federal level and created two redundant representatives of the people. I consider that one of the two errors in the Constitution, but that's a separate issue.

It's difficult to know what action to take when a President demonstrates that he is more interested in encouraging racist chants than encouraging productive policy matters. So I don't agree or disagree with the condemnation being made in the first place, but I definitely would have voted for it.

I would like to see somebody other than Ilhan Omar in the spotlight. Read a list of the freshman representatives. You'll recognize a half dozen at the most. Why don't we vote to condemn someone like Kevin Hern. I had no idea who he was, I was just looking at members of the House. He has introduced 0 bills. He has cosponsored 3 (the fewest in congress). He has opposed all 32 bills that address government, accountability, transparency, and effectiveness and he has voted in line with Trump's positions 100% of the time. Just take him out and put a robot in his place. His qualifications for running for office? He owned 18 McDonalds franchises. A natural leader.

Omar may make the news, but it's people like Kevin Hern who should. Condemn Kevin Hern for not doing his job and maybe we'll start to see some progress.

It isn't my fault that you don't understand that.

Link some other US Presidents telling American citizens that.

"Getting to" was your phrase. All of them, always get to say if they so please. I wasnt implying anyone had.

If they're communists spouting hateful racist rhetoric?

Hell yes!

I hope the door hits their sorry whining butts on the way out.
Now they're communists, huh? I covered this before when Trump called them 'socialists.' The policies these women propose are no more communist than the policies that exist in other democracies around the world.

Conservatives have been trying to label all programs that help people 'socialist for 90 years.

What specific policies are we talking about? For one, the 70% top marginal rate -- you know, the rate that was in the tax code for most of the 20th Century. I know that a higher marginal tax rate or a public subsidy for poor children’s dentistry is only a step away from the gulags.

In every other free society with a functioning market economy, socialism is an ordinary, rather general term for sane and compassionate governance of the public purse for the purpose of promoting general welfare and a more widespread share in national prosperity.

In countries where, since World War II, the principles of democratic socialism have shaped public policy (basically, everywhere in the developed world except here), the lives of the vast majority of citizens, most especially in regard to affordable health care, have improved enormously. This is acknowledged by almost every political faction, whether “liberal” (like Social Democrats), “conservative” (like Christian Democrats) or “progressive” (like Greens). And the preposterous cost projections that American conservative propagandists routinely adduce to prove that “socialized medicine” or a decent public option would exhaust our Treasury are given the lie in each of those countries every day.

Conservatives conjure up the socialism and now the communist scare card because they have no legitimate argument against proposals that are very popular with voters.

So in other words, no other President has done it. Just the crude ignorant one we have today.

The one who speaks his mind without the filter of political correctness.

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

you may not like what he said....you may not agree with it....but racist? now is it another case where his blackberry should be taken away from him? probably

but those are so prolific that it really doesnt merit these types of responses anymore....he has been a buffoon from day one, and that isnt going to change

This is more relevant than ever: “Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.” ― Voltaire

All of the 4 women are American citizens and 3 were born here. So, what countries was Trump talking about?

i dunno

did he name names?

I know, right? Why should a President act like a decent human being? Let's elect people who act like pigs. It's the new American way!

Just because you believe anyone who doesnt strictly adhere to political correctness is a pig, doesnt mean the rest of us do.

I dont recall Trump saying anything about "4 women" and presume he was referring to Somalia and Palestine, not realizing that Tlaib was born in the US

No, the "rest" of you celebrate assholery and total lack of class, and put it in the highest office in your country.

Now, don't take that a dig - we should all vote for who represents us best. :)

I know you Trump supporters don't care. He speaks for you when he criticizes Mexicans and Hispanics and blacks and LGBT and so on.

FWIW, I'm not evangelical or fundamental any religion, but I fail to see any connection between Christians and the streets lined with cardboard tents in SF, or undrinkable water in Michigan. Those are all Democrat led areas.

Hmmm....my post seems to have confused you. I was talking primarily about "freedom", a little bit about the crime rate, but nothing about any of that.

Why don't you go back, read the post again, and see if you can come up with something coherent and applicable?
