WASHINGTON (AP) — Defiant in the face of widespread criticism, President Donald Trump renewed his belligerent call on Monday for four Democratic congresswomen of color to get out of the U.S. “right now,” cementing his position as the most willing U.S. leader in generations to stoke the discord that helped send him to the White House.

Content to gamble that a sizeable chunk of the electorate embraces his tweets that have been widely denounced as racist, the president made clear that he has no qualms about exploiting racial divisions once again.

“It doesn’t concern me because many people agree with me,” Trump said at the White House. “A lot of people love it, by the way.”

The episode served notice that Trump is willing to again rely on incendiary rhetoric on issues of race and immigration to preserve his political base in the leadup to the 2020 election.

COMMENT:-

This time Mr. Trump IS 100% correct - many Americans DO agree with him. They are quite on board with his suggestion that anyone who isn't white and male should not have any say in the governance of the United States of America and that they should all "go back where they came from" (regardless of whether they, and their parents, and their grandparents, and their great grandparents, and their great great grandparents were born in America).

I am not a great reader, but I think that the President NEVER said that non-males and non-Caucasians should not participate in the government and that they should leave the States.

I believe that he lost his temper with the Squad because all of their words are very negative about this country, so he said (admittedly in undiplomatic words) that maybe they should find another country that they find more suitable.

I do agree that some Independents and even some Republicans may decide to vote for the Dem candidate or to abstain from voting for president. Of course, the President can ill afford to lose even one vote.

I agree with the President's critics and some supporters (which include me) that the President is his own worst enemy. If he stopped all tweets today, for example, his popularity ratings might actually rise.

According to the data taken in May, 74% identified AOC as one of THE top faces of the Democrat party today. Omar came in at 53%. AOC's favorable rating is at 22% in this poll, while Omar is at 9%. Capitalism had 56% approval over socialism's 32%. Again, this is Democrat swing voters. That's NOT good for the Left. AOC and the rest of the Squad being the faces of the Democrat part is a problem for the Left. It's not that they disagree with them because are 1000% on board with their agenda, but the more moderate voters that vote more Democrat are NOT. The Left loves to tell Republicans to think about the moderates, but here they are promoting the hell out of these hateful, angry people that are EXTREMELY unpopular with Left-leaning moderates and independents. If these numbers hold true on a larger scale, Trump wins next year. The Left made these four women the faces of their ideology and fair minded people, not the lunatic fringe base that makes up the vast majority of their group, don't accept them.

The REAL story isn't what Trump Tweeted because that's minor (and not racist nor xenophobic). The real story is identifying who the Left is, what they stand for, why they believe the way they believe, and how they intend to implement their agenda, and these four women are the poster children and THE faces of their cause. The knee jerk reaction was the Left is being opposed openly and in their faces. The only reason there's infighting on their side is because they failed, and still failing, at getting rid of Trump. The unification of getting rid of him is there, but how their tactics have failed, that's still a major problem. In the minds of the swing voters, they won't vote with a party that isn't unified, and they won't vote for the same party they typically vote or support the past several yeas that go against their values. In this case with the internal poll, they're not throwing capitalism, a system of government that has given opportunity and freedom to choose their destiny, overboard in favor of socialism, which already decides your fate against your better judgement and desires. They especially won't go for people like AOC and Ilhan Omar, who are seen as not only the faces, but the true leaders of the Democrat party. And all Trump is doing is simply pointing all this out, and the Left HATES being on defense.
