Donald Trump abandoned the Iran nuclear deal to spite Barack Obama, according to a leaked memo written by the UK's former ambassador to the US.

Sir Kim Darroch described the move as an act of "diplomatic vandalism", according to the Mail on Sunday.

Nothing this character does surprises me anymore. He has this thing for Obama that may date from that correspondents' dinner where Obama mocked his TV antics.

I've always known that to be true. Trump wants to completely erase the Obama legacy.

Trump actually wanted to campaign before 2016. This is why he tried to create an opening with his birth conspiracy theories. It is just that at some point realized that he had no chance to beat Obama. So, now he tries to fight a battle against an imaginary Obama opponent to compensate for the fact that he avoided the battle against the real Obama...

No offense to the BBC, but this is news? What next, that Trump opposed the Paris agreement, the TPP, the ACA, etc., because he had read the fine print and decided that they were all flawed?

The man is a child. He probably knocked over sand castles that other kids built at Coney Island.

As if we didn’t know all of this already. trump’s appeal to his base WAS to do away with everything Obama. That’s why he still hates on McCain.

It was as Melania herself that said that trump would hit back TEN times harder at any criticism. Paul Ryan is currently feeling that, but it’s just the usual junior high insults.

That agreement was actually working -- which made it all the more imperative that Trump destroy it to cut off the credit Obama would have received in history.

So it's true. The current media just runs on hearsay and gossip.

If they actually have some way of proving this (not holding my breath there), what is the issue still going to be?

All this thread has shown, is that more than enough people still have nothing better to do then show up and cry about Trump, or something that he didn't even possibly do and nothing else.

I thought this was going to cover the whys and how, of his doing so. Not just cast speculation and allegation with zero proof to lend credence.

It's never been a secret that Trump's real goal is to undo everything that Obama did. It doesn't matter that Iran is once again working on a nuclear weapon, just as long as the Great One can undo what his predecessor has done.

Trump read the fine print!?!?!?! Trump read NOTHING. He doesn't read. He just looks at pictures. His briefing papers are half a page. He can't/won't read anything longer. He opposed these treaties because Obama negotiated them.

I would not be surprised if the intelligence analysts deliver their daily brief inside a Playboy magazine to get Trump's attention

The media were using Kim Darroch's leaked assessment of Trump's actions and his direct observations of lack of policy once they had scrapped the deal.

The agreement expired in ten years. After that, all bets are off.
Trump has said he wants a permanent solution to the problem.
 
Thus far, we have a single documented source for the allegation. This observer of the passing parade will wait for more information to surface.

Trump wants to 'Stalinize/Purge' everything Obama did.. Some of it because Trump is a child and hates the fact Obama was much more popular that Trump ever will be, but most of it is he needs to keep throwing red meat to his racist base.

So...this guy, Darroch, who nobody in the Trump administration ever gave the time of day to, just happens to "know" why Trump scrapped the Iran deal. Uh-huh :roll:

Anyway, it looks like the UK has their own deep state problems now.

The motive does not matter, the only thing that matters if it is the correct decision or not.


Clearly scrapping this deal was the correct decision.
