She's a rookie politician, making a rookie mistake. It's not wise to make an enemy of your caucus's leader. Party leadership tolerates her because they need her vote... now. Once she becomes enough of a liability, the wheels will start turning in the background. She's going to find a hard time getting anything done, and will lose opportunities for fundraising help and party support.

AOC is in a safe, democrat district. I wouldn't be surprised if she faced primary opposition. She won her district with hard work and by surprising an incumbent who didn't see her as a threat. The election was 15,897 - 11,761... a margin of 4,000 votes in a district with almost 700,000 people.

Interestingly, I think Pelosi made a rather glaring mistake when she first embraced the "squad" and used them as a big middle finger to Trump and Republicans. Pelosi rode a nice, big wave of wokeness right onto the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. She gave the squad plumb committee spots and defended their every utterance and insult. Pelosi's biggest mistake was capitulating to their fake moral outrage over rebuking Omar and her continued anti-Semitic remarks. The squad had Pelosi right then and there, and they knew it. Hence, they became more emboldened.
Now, Pelosi is on the receiving end of the same antics she either condoned or looked the other way. It was only a matter of time.
I hope Pelosi makes sure AOC gets nothing when it comes to re-election funds and lets her get primaried. I understand her district will never be Red, but hopefully they can get a Representative who works to make their lives better, instead of working on her own glory, fame and anti-American agenda.

Really dumb to bring up race at all, but it's not like she was calling Pelosi racist. I think AOC's chief of staff did tweet some stupid thing out that basically did, but it was deleted.

It's easy enough to bash Nancy on everything else, no reason to get into that, as well.
 
If only Pelosi would have used her tone of voice, indignance and slight against the many times Republicans and Trump insulted the Dems and Obama. I'd think she was a leader by example who fought for her own, rather than a cattle herder who disciplined the cows that didn't like being branded.
