Trump Says Troops ‘Took Over Airports’ During Revolutionary War, in Rainy Fourth of July Speech

You know, the reason why Trump's airport comment is easily one of the dumbest things I have ever heard is because even a foreigner who was never taught anything about US history and does not know if the US has 50 or 57 or 60 states, he can still figure out immediately that there were no airports during the American Revolution as long as he knows some very basic stuff in world history.

As Trump was railing against Obama and Clinton using teleprompters, he always said they should speak without them so you uncover the real person. Good thing he showed us how that's done. The real Donald Trump thinks we had airports in 1775.

I had horses that I kept in a stable. Even they were smart enough to know we didn't have airplanes in 1775.
Funny to see how that triggers you....:lamo

Sorry but like most liberals you buy rhetoric and ignore results, percentage change or dollar growth, which one matters?? Job gains, part time for economic reasons or full time jobs, which one matters? How long are you radicals going to defend Obama who is out of office and refuse to acknowledge the results being generated? It really is stunning the passion you and others have for liberalism that you buy rhetoric and ignore results! Does it really matter what Trump said about the revolutionary war or does it matter that we had well over 200,000 new jobs created last month and that the part time for economic reasons is 1.4 million less than Obama left us with?

Aww, cute. Conservative was fed his new propaganda term. Hannity been using the word "radical" a lot lately, has he?

Did you drop to your knees thanking Obama every time he had a month "well over 200,000" jobs created? Back then, you didn't think that was a monumental feat of making the country better.

Let's not forget, Trump is the "businessman" who thought putting solar panels on his border wall was a smart thing to do.

He saw it on FOX, and was too stupid to figure out just how moronic that idea was. :lamo

Well duh. Obama was a Kenyan Muslim bent on destroying the USA, and converting it to Sharia law.

Wake me up when he's made 10,000 lies and starts blabbering on about how he'd save his sons life on the battlefield if he was there.
The 10,000 lies nonsense is a hoax that only tds inflicted Trump haters buy into.

And that is suppose to excuse the Revolutionary War airports from Trump? Nope.
Are you really that obsessed with gaffes? What needs to be forgiven?

Everybody makes an occasional mistake. To err is human.

To make them almost ever day and have them be huge boners - that is the nature of Trump.

Exactly! Those aren't lies, it's Trump playing 10 dimensional chess with the truth.

Back then Trump said less than 300,000 jobs per month was not real job growth and put us in danger of recession.

If Trump was hit with an actual catastrophe like Obama walked into on his first day in office, Trump wouldn't know what to do. But he's apparently trying to get some practice in by creating catastrophes so he can try to solve them ... or at least say he has solved them.

Like you guys during the Obama administration when you went after him for wearing a tan suit?

Conservatives were not rioting in the streets or crying out for safe rooms when "Hussein" was elected.

Damn you're fast. I deleted that less than a minute after I posted it, realizing there was nowhere for that argument to go. But I'll try anyway...
I know what liberal and conservative mean. Most, okay lots, of Trump supporters don't have the first clue. Anything they dont like is 'liberalism' and anything liberals don't like is what they call conservatism. See what I mean? No ideology beyond negative reaction.
Let's see what you got. Tell me what conservativism is, and how it's different from liberalism.

You deleted the post for two reasons. One you started out with a direct insult, and two, you knew you could not defend the statement. I read it before you deleted it. I cannot speak for what the poster in question may have been before I joined the forum. I can speak for her posting habits since I joined. Without fail, she takes the librul point of view on any and all arguments, get's all her likes from well known libruls and gives her likes accordingly. She may have been a registered republican at one time, however I have my doubts that she was ever a conservative.

Compared to your little buddy creepy joe Biden, Trump commits almost no gaffes. Perhaps that is what has you so triggered?

Almost no gaffes!!!!!!! Like airports during the Revolutionary War!?!?!?!?!?

Whataboutism does not work for you.

Trump is the President. What he says rings much much much louder than anyone else.

I am rather surprised you do not know that.

Just about anyone making speeches will eventually make a gaffe. I heard this airport one as it happened and it did not take any effort to realize he most likely meant seaports, but I knew the left would ignore all the positive things said and concentrate on that. Very sad with all the positive things said that the left only heard that.

Bush was notorious for them, Obama likewise, it's happened to all so grow up and get over it because it will happen again and again with just about all speakers.

That's the beautiful thing about the job. You're under a microscope, which is stressful and makes it more difficult to AVOID screwing up.

Donald Trump is expansive at the podium, which is one way stage fright shows itself.

The man proved that he cannot even read a slam dunk speech written for him. That is scary.

Eventually make a gaffe ... lol ... yeah ... just about anyone will eventually.

Which doesn't explain away Trump's gaffe machine which he keeps on overdrive because it's the way he gets attention, since he's desperate for attention but too lazy to actually spend the time to learn the things a president (or even a good citizen) should know.
