She was offered a tour. I don't know that it was a scheduled tour. She was offered a tour and opportunity to speak to the border personnel. She refused. End of story.

FACT: Cortez opposed the bill for funding of the border.
FACT: Cortez went down there and cried her little eyes out and screamed dramatically...at the border officers.
FACT: Cortez claimed border officers had told the asylum seekers to drink from the toilets.
FACT: The above was proven completely asinine.
FACT: Cortez is more concerned with the shade of lipstick she has on, and the tight fit of her pure white jeans, than she is about any asylum seekers.
FACT: This twit...Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez...has proposed a Green New Deal which would all but bankrupt any nation...let alone the USA.

You seriously, really believe that one single Congresswoman, in her first term, from a borough of NY most people can't identify on a map, is going to hurt "the Democrats" in the polls? Because most Americans walk into the voting booth and choose their candidate based on what another Congressional rep says? I can see it now. An independent in South Dakota goes home after voting. HIs son asks "Dad, who did you vote for?". "Well, son, I voted for the Republican candidate Billy Joe Bush because of AOC". I'm so sure that will happen.

What will criminal Republicans like Duncan Hunter do to hurt Republicans in the polls?

See this is typical Democrat, look at the Tweets. If they sit with them in a cell and talk, then they are one of them. It's like always, symbolism over substance. She won't vote to help them, but will gladly do a photo-op at the border, and then sit on the concrete with them; followed by criticism of the people who are actually trying to help them. You don't have to join them in the cell to know they need food, and you certainly don't need to join them, to help the CBP personnel who are actually working for the American people.............and have been begging for support. I'll bet the dumb bitch still thinks it's a manufactured crisis. All she's done is piss off the CBP and make unsubstantiated allegations about them.

Everyone should be opposing funding a continuation of the conditions.
Sure, provide funding, but FFS it shouldn't perpetuate the issue - so the issues need addressed, and the lever we have to apply pressure on that point is funding.

Precisely. I do not agree with her voting against the bill but I have zero issue with some accountability with what's going on at the border. Neither side got everything they wanted but Nancy got this one right.

No, several women in detention told the Congresswoman that this happened. Which is what she stated, and was corroborated by other government officials.
