Some elements might have existed but the policy of detaining everyone absolutely did not... This is reality...
 
Do people on the extrem left realize AOC has a 22% approval rating among democrats. For that matter Ilhan Omar has a 9% approval rating. The 2020 elections may be devastating for those two.

All this points out is the the facilities existed... Why are they overcrowded?

THE FACTS: Trump is not telling the truth. The separation of thousands of migrant children from their parents resulted from his “zero tolerance” policy. Obama had no such policy.

In February Trump diverted billions of defense spending for his wall without congressional approval to build a wall. Are you suggesting he would have been unable to do the same for the overcrowding conditions his OWN policy created?

I spend no time defending Trump. That does not require me to admire his opponents, most of whom are hypocrites and opportunists.

She is correct on this move. Mitch McConnell has stonewalled every step toward a better America for partisan reasons. You guys on the right do not get to bitch about her doing it.

He's president. So yes, he is responsible. He could end the drug war which is the primary driver here. He hasn't. He could stop meddling in their economies for economic gain - he hasn't.

So yes, he's responsible. He's the president. Too ****ing bad.

Trump cannot build a wall the democrats in the House will not allow, and Trump cannot break the law democrats in the House refuse to try to change. It is shameful the way democrats excoriate Trump for what the border control has to do to legally follow the existing laws.

Yeah pretty scary. What are their approval ratings where people can actually vote for them? National numbers are worthless on local elections.

A wall would cut down on illegal crossings, thus freeing up in the future space that is presently over crowded in detention centers.

Why is it the USA's job to house and feed thousands of people trying ti illegally cross the border?

I mean, we should try to help them, yes, but it is not our job to do it.

That is a pretty new thing... Americans supporting an end to the Drug War... and even now the percentage is barely above 60%. But I guess you are also blaming Obama then... right?

The purpose of elected representatives is not to simply fall in line. We live in a democratic republic. Her constituents elected her for a reason even if you don't like her.
