Funny how the Left is freaking out over this. "OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD! HE'S GOING TO HAVE TROOPS AND TANKS MARCH IN A PARADE! HE'S TAKING OVER! IT'S THE END OF THE COUNTRY AS WE KNOW IT!!!" Meanwhile, in several doctor offices (butcher shops), babies are being killed in and out of the womb, and the doctors and the Democrat party are getting money out of it. I'm just sayin'.

The tank is on Memorial Bridge entering Arlington County Virginia on its way to pass the Pentagon which technically is on the land of Washington DC. The city of Washington is behind the tank.

There are some roads in Washington an Abrams tank can traverse, but at a great cost to the roadway. There are many other roadways the Abrams cannot safely transit or stop on lest it risk end up in the Metro below. Or in a swamp under the road construction. Washington is built on a swamp if you don't know. Only Republicans outnumber the mosquitos.



The last time Washington hosted a military parade, it was a huge mess.

The city government had enough foresight to remove lampposts along the parade route to make way for the convoys of armored vehicles. Less anticipated was the damage wrought as 67-ton tanks rolled over (and through) the hot asphalt on Constitution Avenue. The treaded vehicles pounded a deeply rutted tattoo into the roadway, which had been designed to carry a gross vehicle weight of just over 30 tons, and was further softened that day by the 85-degree heat.

Washington’s last military parade left in its wake 1.2 million pounds of garbage, $12 million in bills, and literal scars on the city’s public art and infrastructure. If history is any guide, a march in 2018 will bring its own unanticipated headaches for the District. It also goes without saying that Donald Trump is no George H. W. Bush. A large-scale deployment of government assets under the current administration is sure to be accompanied with a clown car of unforced errors and distasteful performances. Will nuclear weapons be showcased at the event? Will Trump wear epaulets and a sword?

The last time Washington hosted a military parade, it was a huge mess.

Especially by an Executive that has usurped the Legislatures power to level tariffs, power of the purse, and war powers. His loyalists support subversion of the Constitution and the erosion of our Republic into a direct democracy. They are no better than the colonists who fought on the side of the British. Hence the term loyalists.

The military have shipped two Bradley fighting vehicles (left), an M88A2 Hercules recovery vehicle in case they break down (center) and a support Humvee, and two M1 Abrams tanks from Fort Stewart in Georgia.





The current National Weather Service forecast for Thursday in Washington, D.C., predicted temperatures of 92 degrees and rain with the possibility of thunderstorms. The fireworks will be cancelled in case of heavy rain, thunderstorms or high winds.


Trump is essentially producing the holiday show himself, having extensive briefings on the subject and weighing in on all aspects – from where the fireworks should be launched to how the military will be honored.

The president has added extra touches to this year’s event.

The fireworks display will be twice as long as those in the past and include new elements – such as a massive American flag and the words ‘U.S.A.’ spelled out in the sky.

The fireworks display will run from 9.07pm to 9.42pm.

There will also be a flyover from Air Force One, the Blue Angels – the US Navy’s flight demonstration squadron – and other military planes. [Blue Angles had been scheduled to have holiday time June 30 through July 6.]

Independence Day culminates with a spectacular fireworks display launched from West Potomac Park and behind the Lincoln Memorial which will be visible from many locations throughout D.C. and Northern Virginia.


The Republican National Committee will offer major donors tickets to the VIP section to hear the president’s address, the Huffington Post reported. ‘He’s going to have tanks out there. It’s going to be cool,’ one fundraiser told the publication. White House officials deny that is the case – even though the Republican Party is handing out tickets to a special VIP section to hear the president’s remarks.

‘That’s absolutely ridiculous,’ Deputy White House press secretary Hogan Gidley said Tuesday morning on Fox Business Network. ‘This is all about a salute to America. The president is not going to get political. He’s going to celebrate the greatest country, the greatest idea in the history of the world, and that is the United States of America.’

I know exactly what this board is about. Doesn't change the fact that several posters on here including humble are obsessed with Trump. Not everything involves Trump and not everything he does is some horrible event. There is a difference between discussing something and being obsessed.

I get it that you have to defend any one who shares your hate of Trump but at some point it's just silly. I am sure that when someone on the left talks about how the right is obsessed with AOC for talking about her so much you chime in with this little bit about this being a discussion board right. We both know you don't. Your hate for Trump just blinds you to the truth

And I could care less if some one is criticizing Trump for legitimate reasons. Of which there are plenty due to Trump being an idiot and an embarrassment to this country.
