[FONT=&quot]Police bodycam video shows officers arriving at Smollett's apartment in Streeterville. After going with his manager up to his apartment, they are greeted by the star with a rope coiled several times around his neck, claiming that two attackers doused him with bleach and put the noose over his head.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Police blurred Smollett's face in the video that the I-Team obtained under a Freedom of Information Act request because at the time he was considered a victim.

ol ya the chicago police are pissed off and they are putting it out there for everyone to see.
the chicago DA screwed this up big time all in the name of politics.

the guy should have gone to trial and let a jury find him innocent or guilty.
instead the DA let him go and covered it up.

if anyone else had done what he did then they would have been charged with max possible crimes.

I do not see how this ends well for Jussie Smollett, nor the Chicago DA that let it all go.

I hope the prosecutor who (unilaterally?) decided to ignore the evidence of Smollett's crimes presented by the police and who elected to practice her brand of "just us" will end up in prison. Many of those who considered Smollett to be a victim of his imaginary (hired?) MAGA thugs will likely continue to do so even if he is eventually convicted of his crimes.

I would prefer a sentence of a very steep fine with deferred prison (back-up) time and a long period of supervised probation for Smollett. Forcing Smollett not to travel outside of the city/county (for 5 years?) would likely be less costly than locking him up and a severe enough sentence to deter others from trying to fake "hate crimes" for personal gain.
 
That was so funny watching the cop ask why Smollett still had that noose around his head an hour after the supposed attack. And even goofier was the way Smollett had all that extra noose rope draped around his body to try and make it look more sinister.

To be honest, I can't even detect a noose around his neck. But what I do see is a commercially "wrapped" clothesline (braided cotton/polyester), poorly unraveled, looped around his neck several times like a waist-long pearl necklace, with the bulk part of the "wrapping" still intact.

Trump is innocent of everything even when he's on video tape, even though there are many credible witnesses, Kavanaugh is innocent of everything even when there are multiple credible witnesses, because they were not found guilty in a court of law.

But you think the black guy is guilty as hell without being found guilty in a court of law.

In the grand scheme of things, Smollett is the least of the issues in the Jussie Smollett case. The DA should end up in jail before anyone else.

A corrupt DA is societal poison.

I still don't understand how the whole case could have been dismissed and Smollett still claiming what he had said/experienced was the truth, while the two brothers had already admitted they helped stage this incident and Smollett had paid them.

I'm missing here something ...
