President Trump to hold off on deportation raids for two weeks

Trump is simply softening all of his stances because he's kicked off his campaign. He wants the swing vote.

One thing i will add to my earlier comments about this.

We hsve seen in the pastbwhere Trump says something and then does not follow through on it. If he does not get some kind of reasonable convession out of them and does not follow through again he is going to look like a doormat.

If after 2 weeks the only thing they accomplished is they gave the dems a two week window to stsll the process; he needs to get cracking on his plan.

If he is serious he should habe a series of raids and deportations planned and implimented right after the deadline is reached. From that point forward any talks or negotiations that are taking place should go on simultaneously to the deportation process. He should go full throttle ahead and not stop until he gets whatever convessions he is looking for.

The only way he is going to get anything from the left is by turning up the pressure on them to make a deal. Force them to ho to court snd argue that the president does not have the suthority to enforce the law as its written by congress.

If he does not follow through, its just more politicsl theater

Its quite simple; he's not reliable. He's impulsive and untrustworthy.

You believe he should have gone ahead with sending missiles into Iran as he said he was going to originally and should have deported all the illegals like he said. That he was too impulsive to back out right away, which proved he can not be relied on to do what he said he would and therefore is untrustworthy..

???

What failings? What fault?

What on earth are you babbling about?

Oh, I don't know - the thread topic?!

All the babbling is being done by you, my hateful brother :thumbdown

Ha, ha.. look at you!

Everytime trump disappoints right-wing nuts somehow they scapegoat his failings on one of their political enemies. To right-wing nuts, trump is like their mommy who can do no wrong :lamo
Hey Lurch! The whole stopping the attack on Iran was a "head fake" designed to let the Iranians know not to screw with us again. Also it was to show restraint to our European allies.

The Deport Thing was to flush the Dems out. We will see if it worked.

Thank you for my opinion my friend. My opinion is that we've put our foreign policy in the hands of a narcissistic sociopath and a bunch of chicken hawks.

"Let's see what happens", as trump often bloviates, mindlessly is not a very comforting proclamation of what's about to happen.

Well the ball is in Iran's court. Would you have rather kill hundreds because they shot down a unmanned drone. I for one would rather tighten the sanctions on Iran than get into a shooting conflict.

Head fake is not a bad way to put it. Trump does use a lot of misdirection but he is also dealing from a position of real strength. No one has much success treating his positions as bluffs.

"Would you have rather kill hundreds"? Oh, my friend :( <shaking my head> tsk, tsk. As trump said to Stormy Daniels while Melania was home nursing their newborn son, "that was a low blow".

No, wanting any more people do die, either Americans or people in the Mideast is the exact opposite of what I want. It should also be the opposite of you want, but you seem to put your trust in trump, a sociopathic man-baby to keep the world safe. Is your hatred of democrats do severe that you can delude yourself into thinking that trump has a clue what he's doing?

Let's go back to 2003 when Bush's war criminal advisors decided it would be a great idea to destroy 10's of thousands of both American and Iraqi families by invading Iraq. Not only did they destroy so many lives but they removed Iran's only enemy, thus strengthening the terrorist state of Iran, creating Isis and killing 10's of thousands more Americans, our allies, and killing and displacing more Iraqi's.

Fast forward to the trump administration. trump unilaterally rescinded our nuclear treaty with Iraq. A treaty that was crafted not only by the U.S. but signed off on by our allies. A treaty that was working. He did it not because he thought it was a poor agreement, but because trump is a childish, evil, petty son of a bitch and was jealous of Obama's accomplishments. The horrible effect of doing that was twofold: 1. Now no one will ever trust the U.S. again when there's a treaty. They realize now that treaties with the U.S. are meaningless and 2. It emboldened Iran to resume their march towards building nukes. Iran is now enriching uranium and well on their way to being a nuclear power. Dissolving the treaty is the main reason now that tensions between Iran and the U.S. are high and is giving the neocons the excuse they need to start another criminal war in the mideast.

I don't understand how anyone can support the GOP when they try to conduct foreign policy. This goes back to Reagan and his Latin American war crimes as well. GOP administrations are war criminals. Plain and simple.

Good one

Do severe???? I would reverse that question to you. Is your hatred of republicans do severe that you can delude yourself into thinking that Trump doesn't have a clue what he's doing? I would point to ISIS during Obama and ISIS now after Trump.

I thought this thread was about Trump. My bad :3oops: If we are going back why stop at Iraq why not go back to Vietnam where 56,000 Americans were killed and thousands more maimed and hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese were killed and for what. Who started that war? Kennedy ? LBJ?

What makes you think that ridiculous Iran Nuclear Agreement was a treaty? Treaties have to be ratified by congress. Show me where the Iran Nuclear Agreement was ever ratified by Congress. That garbage agreement was never ratified by Congress because it would have never passed. You can thank God that we have withdrawn from the agreement it would have allowed a nuclear weapon to Iran in less than 8 years from now. Are you OK with that? Iran should NEVER be allowed to have a nuclear weapon. I don't want to see North Korean ICBMs with Iranian nukes aiming at US cities. My grand son would be 10 when the Iranian Nuclear Agreement allowed the Iranians to have a nuke. That is unacceptable. That thing was just Obama's idiocy. I'm glad it's on the trash heap of history.

First the Libs here denounce Trump because he did not launch an attack that would kill numerous Iranians. Now they are griping because he did not stick to what he said on deporting illegals this Sunday, ignoring that the fact he is acting on the request of the Democrats to hold off and have talks. I thought libs were against killing people and for reaching across the aisle.

Which Democrats are griping about that?

That's what I think too. He also wants the Hispanic vote and is treading carefully.

Personally I never understood why he announced it in the first place. That made no sense. I don't think he was ever serious about deportation raids.

The funny thing is how his fans completely overlooked that he was actually giving out warnings to the families that were targeted for deportations. Could you imagine the outrage if say a Democrat announced the raids? Oh yeah, they would have called obstruction of justice like they did when that Oakland mayor warned if ICE raids.

They would howl like scorched cats if Obama even hinted at such a thing.

They would call him or her 'treasonous'.

Its across the entire country not in one single city. In a single city they can just leave town. If they want to leave the country , I'm OK with that.

You made a great point about the Vietnam War. It was a disgusting and tragic war crime that is a stain our nation's reputation. Note, also that Nixon could have ended that war but continued it for political gain, which was just as criminal.

I brought up the wars and incursions (Iran Contra and Iraq) because these are examples of we, as Americans being lied to by our GOP leadership in order to start and continue these criminal endeavors.

Regarding the Iran treaty/agreement (whatever you wish to call it) and trump's qualifications to be president or even his desire to do anything except to promote himself and enrich his family at taxpayer expense, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Heading back to San Antonio this week. I have two pretty well qualified candidates I'm currently interviewing to replace my Texas manager that resigned back in May so soon I might be able to again reduce my travel frequency there back to once a month. This is a good thing because I have two other operations, one in Kentucky and another in Arizona that I have been neglecting in order to be the manager, pro tem in Texas!

I thinks Trump's base and the pundits over at FOX News heads are going to explode.

First, he refrains from killing evil Iranians and now this? What's he up to?

Exactly as I predicted. A big nothing burger from Trump. As always, if it requires a plan, Trump won't be doing it..

I think he wanted to kick off his campaign in style. And, based on his strategy he believes nothing gets his base as energized as when he attacks brown and black skinned people, or supports White Supremacists.

Oh, and fear. Based on Trump's strategy, he clearly believes most of his base are cowards.

Trump's Midterm Closing Argument: Pure Racial Fear

With racist ad, Trump sinks to a new low

Of course, one could argue that Trump doesn't have a clue about his own base.

No different than when he got his drooling fan base to be paranoid about the "caravan" headed our way before the midterms, which of course he never spoke about again after the election.

Never spoke again? The CBP in on track to apprehend over 1,000,000 on the Southwest border. The military is there. The President has taken money from other programs to try and fund the response to the crisis. The government was shut down for a period.

Amazing how the hard left is so blind to what is glaring them in their faces.

Post a link to Trump talking about that caravan again after the election.

Amazing how the Trump lovers are so blind to the truth.

Is that all you have? "cult" nonsense?

You're deep in one so it stands to reason that you can't see the forest through the trees. And yes, it's not far fetched that if Trump called his members to show their loyalty by mass suicide, there'd be scores ready to prove themselves.
