Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at car w

Re: Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at

I'll bet is was a set-up. Someone called in a gun report for them. These police officers are not responding to a shoplifting report. The Dollar stores I've shopped at in neighborhoods have security for "assets control."

Indeed - VERY bizarre illiberal narrative being pushed here.

We definitely don't have anything close to all the info., but your idea makes a degree of sense.

The whole thing is click-bait nonsense.

LOL! Who was wielding the gun? The 4 year old little girl? Who uses a gun to steal a lousy doll from a dollar store? These cops were responding to a report of shoplifting while black. Which in Arizona apparently authorizes them to use, or threaten the use of deadly force, and to physically and mentally abuse and mistreat those they are detaining in the process. There was absolutely no justification whatsoever for the cops to be pulling out their guns in this incident. Period!

More baseless & wildly speculative virtue-signaling nonsense.

Re: Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at

Yes! Something is wrong. The police are responding like there was a report of a gun.

No, the police are responding like there was a report of black people. Don't know how much experience you have as a minority dealing with police but this isn't entirely surprising.

You do not have the critical thinking skills to realize that the news report is incomplete. Have you heard the 911 call yet? Have you heard the radio dispatch yet?

Have you?

No. Why?

Because there is an investigation going on to figure out who all is in on the scam.

The scam to shoplift a doll, almost get executed over it and then sue for millions? That's a helluva plan. Also that is about the whitest thing I've ever heard of. Only white people would have convindence that plan doesn't end with our whole family being shot to death.

You're speculating about this imaginary 911 call about a gun. The rest of us are discussing what actually happened on video. I don't think you know what speculation means...

So true.

Re: Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at

I see nothing illegal any officer did. No basis for any lawsuit. Nothing to protest.

Where is the medical report of the 1 year old's arm "pulled out of the socket?"

I do understand increasing numbers of Democrats think stealing shouldn't be illegal, such as the open opinion of the Democrat Sheriff of Dallas County, Texas.

Re: Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at

There is much more to the story than a child stole a doll. Other stolen property found, admitting throwing stolen property out while fleeing, fleeing the police after told to stop, warrants for others in the car, and driving on a suspended license.

Never believe any OP by forum members whose message history is that of a cop hater as then don't tell the entire story.

^ Another Democrat who openly admits in his opinion being black justifies committing any crime.

Yes, there was justification to pull a gun after the driver fled after being told to stop. Accordingly to the FBI, over 60,000 police officers are violently assaulted each year. Over half of those were assaulted by weapons (knives, guns, other weapons). That only includes reported assaults. Being kicked, slugged, spit on and lesser assaults likely not even reported.

What we learned from the entire story is it was a car fully of petty criminals among the older occupants - possibly for not being caught on more serious crimes. It always known the driver was fleeing from the police - and none had gotten out of the car during any stop. That, alone, makes it a highly dangerous situation for the police. NORMAL people don't flee the police in a car because a child in the car had stolen a doll they didn't know had happened.

In my opinion, fleeing from the police in a vehicle is definitely a "gun drawn" situation until it known all was clear - and a child in the vehicle - even if known - doesn't serve as a shield protecting the officer. A large group in such a situation requires the outnumbered officers to exercise serious control of the situation efforts.

Everyone went home alive. No one went to the hospital. No one went to jail. YET the predictable Democrat "RACIST!" rage predictable as it always is. Besides, for a few people it's DAMN, not even ONE police officer died. This forum does have more than it's share of rabid cop haters.

Clearly, one of us does not. :)

But illiberals gotta illiberal, and nonsensical, bigoted virtue-signaling hysteria is the primary tool.

Wait - liberals wildly misrepresented the truth and jumped to ludicrous conclusions based in their bigotry and ignorance?

This is certainly a first...

Re: Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at

What is notable is the mayor immediately tweeted out an attack against the police and siding with the criminals even before any investigation.

It would be a piece of cake for a few blacks to orchestrate sharing hundreds of thousands - or millions - of dollars on a simple bait-and-switch operation in any major city now, since Democrats control them all and will always declare the criminals are the victim - if non-white.

This is the new Democratic Party - that criminals who are caught are victims and the police who catch them are the criminals. Why police in any Democrat controlled city still arrest anyone puzzles me, since arresting people is against the city's policy.

(We just spent the weekend with some people, including from Seattle. They told how the police basically are not to arrest anyone if possibly an illegal immigrant or street person - but because of liberals they dare not complain to anyone in their city about it. I've heard that before from people who live in Democrat controlled cities - afraid to express their opinions. Free speech in Democrat territory is far too dangerous now for anyone not declaring Democratic talking points of this week.

It was interesting. Not one person - all from major cities - meaning Democrat controlled - mentioned anything political. It was SO obvious to me I just said "I'm a Trump supporter." When I did, they all opened up, FINALLY free to speak their mind. None receive government benefits - so they didn't just agree - they made their dislike of the Democratic Party VERY clear!)

No, this story is NOT about a child stealing a doll from a store. That's just the lying story Democratic race-baiting police haters tell.

Was the meeting at a compound?

"Free speech" is a code word?

And clearly it's you. We are talking about a 4 year old here who didn't know that she was doing anything wrong by inadvertently picking up a doll in a Dollar store that was apparently well within her reach without her parents noticing. You think this set of parents is the only set of parents in the world that something like this has ever happened to? And it's a Dollar store where everything is a dollar for Christ's sake! We aren't talking about grand larceny. The police response here was ridiculously out of proportion to the alleged offense.

You mean the cops may have misrepresented the truth. You think that has ever happened before? I don't know how they're going to be able back up their claims seeing as they weren't wearing their body cams as required by department policy.

You make my point bout freedom of speech, don't you? Merely mentioning in our private discussions we spoke against the Democratic Party sent you into a talking point personal attack.

Re: Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at

Why would anyone caught shoplifting have any reason to misrepresent what happened?

Why would their families pursue million-dollar payouts for alleged misconduct by their apprehenders?

I certainly can't think of a $ingle rea$on...

Hmm,

"I'm not able to sleep. I keep having pictures of guns pointed at my face," said Ames.

"I was injured a lot mentally and physically, me and my children," said Harper.

... of course, it's a lot easier to fall asleep on a big ol' pile of money.

Apparently the larger story is vastly more complex than the >Cops R pigs< narrative being pushed here.

Re: Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at

1. The police were wrong to pull their guns.

2. The parents deserve NO sympathy.

a. They should have apologized for their brat's behavior.

3. I have just read that they have rejected the police department's apology.

a. If they sue, I hope the jury gives them one penny.

4. Here in Los Angeles, however, the jury would probably give them ten million dollars.

Re: Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at

UPDATE:

The father has been accused of stealing underwear.

Re: Phoenix police investigating officers caught sweeping handcuffed man’s leg and pointing gun at

If you're walking down the street and someone calls you the n-word they are in the wrong. If you turn around and punch them, tackle them to the ground and proceed to stomp all over their face it doesn't excuse what they said but your actions are now even more egregious than their original insult. We might be able to sympathize and understand why you did what you did but that doesn't make your actions any less abhorrent. This is a simple enough concept to understand.

On one side we have petty shoplifting and on the other we have people threatening to shoot other people in their faces while pointing guns at them. That math is simple for normal people to do.
