[W:140:186] *2 oil tankers damaged in suspected attack in the Gulf of Oman, crew evacuated

Re: 2 oil tankers damaged in suspected attack in the Gulf of Oman, crew evacuated

My anti-Semitic views exist only in your mind.

Many people are aware of how treacherous the Israeli government is. This month is the anniversary of the attack on the USS Liberty. Yes, the deliberate attack by our "ally".

You have a long history of antisemitism. Saying that congress members who are Jewish are all "dual citizens" and "hold an Israeli citizenship" when they don't hold such thing is pretty antisemitic for example.

Anyway don't start throwing all your CT material at me now, I merely pointed out how amusing it is that all your tin-foil hat nonsense always aligns with your pathetic Soviet propaganda.
It's as if Russia or Iran or any of the actual backwards non-democratic regimes aren't capable of doing anything bad ever.

Re: 2 oil tankers damaged in suspected attack in the Gulf of Oman, crew evacuated

Once we figure out how to build a real car that runs like mine - be it nuclear fusion, solar, or simply much more efficiency - without the need for oil, what is the Middle East going to do? They have no economy otherwise except terror.

Think about it. We're only 10-15 years away from this. What are they going to do when global oil usage drops by 80 percent?
I believe i read something not yo long ago that claimed we now make enough energy to supply our own needs. If thats true the only thing the middle east is doing for us is keeping prices reasonable on the global stage by keeping supply high enough to satisify demand. Opec is not as powerful as they once were.

Snd your vorrect as alternate energy improves and becomes competitive in the market it will also weskrn opecs influence on the market

Odds are Iran gets blamed. Odds are they did nothing. Odds are we attack the wrong country again to prevent Saudi Arabia from having to shoulder any responsibility.

Odds are I am right.

Re: 2 oil tankers damaged in suspected attack in the Gulf of Oman, crew evacuated

If it is proved that Iran was responsible, let's all hope that the West (led by the United States) administers a "vigorous" response to that country.

Many people say that Iran understands only one thing: A swift kick to the butt.

many people on the far right say that
many of the same people who said that about iraq and its wmds

Re: 2 oil tankers damaged in suspected attack in the Gulf of Oman, crew evacuated

Here prices hit 2.90 on the news. And I was gonna fill up today. Damn it.

$2.60's in my neck of the woods.

Gosh, I guess I forgot to tell you I post on behalf of the Kremlin. Does that knowledge validate your paranoid delusions? ;)

Telling the truth about Israel = Anti-Semitism

Surely you know this!

This is the first time you said something that is factual since you joined this place Henry.

Re: 2 oil tankers damaged in suspected attack in the Gulf of Oman, crew evacuated

Four tankers damaged by what looked like limpit mines attached to the hull in non-vital areas but below the waterline to minimise environmental damage and loss of life but to maximise publicity in May near the UAE. June 6th, UN "sponsored" report comes out but doesn't name Iran. June 7th six Iranian ships in port and a sizable part of one port town are destroyed by fire. June 12, Japanese PM Abe is in Iran to diffuse tensions when on June 13th two more tankers with Japanese related cargoes are damaged in the Gulf of Oman. Iranians rescue the crews of the two ships and as far as I know, no one was killed.

My guess would be this is not Iran nor a state actor but rather a non-state actor with state assistance trying to create a causus belli for a regional war or strikes against Iran. I would be looking at all the PMSC companies in the world to see which ones have the personnel, expertise and the patrons to carry this off deniably. Suspects for patronage are first the UAE, then Saudi Arabia, then the State of Israel, then the USA or rogue elements with in the USA, then the UK, then France, and finally Russia. Perhaps another Gulf State might be added after Russia. All of this is speculation however and right now there is very little evidence to proceed upon.

Cheers.

Rest assured folks. Chickenhawks Bolton and Pompeo will do their best to fan the flames of war with Persia.

Trump guaranteed a collision course with Iran months ago.

Re: 2 oil tankers damaged in suspected attack in the Gulf of Oman, crew evacuated

Well, it's a good time for a joint strike with Israel on Iran's nuclear operations. And we could drop some bombs on the luxury homes of Iran's rulers.

Did you see that little smirk on Pompeo's face? That fool seems untrustable as ****.

Right? Why would Iran attack Japan when Japan minister is there... Smells fishy... I think the Neo-Nazi warhawks are moving too fast and giving their poker hands up?

You want Iran as a nuclear power so bad. I get it.

Re: 2 oil tankers damaged in suspected attack in the Gulf of Oman, crew evacuated

I wonder who could do such thing.

Well, from 'Sophisticated' oil tanker attacks likely the works of a state actor, UAE says - Middle East News - Haaretz.com

The attacks required expert navigation of fast boats and trained divers who likely placed limpet mines with a high degree of precision on the vessels under the waterline to incapacitate but not sink them, according to the preliminary findings of the countries' joint investigation.

"While investigations are still ongoing, these facts are strong indications that the four attacks were part of a sophisticated and coordinated operation carried out by an actor with significant operational capacity, most likely a state actor," the three countries said in the document.

They believe it was the work of several teams of operatives, which coordinated the timed detonation of all four explosive charges within less than an hour.

So, it had to be someone that 1) had the disposal of a government behind it 2) wanted to cause a disruption between Iran and the US. 3) didn't want to sink the tankers.

Well now. Cite for us all the Iranian violations of the JCPOA as denoted by the IAEA since the JCPOA was signed by Iran and the P5+1 on July 14, 2015.

It wasn't a serious question, it's pretty obvious who would do such thing.
Hint; the same ones behind the previous attack from last month. The ones who we knew are going to try this kind of thing for a while now since the sanctions have become very effective and pushed them to the wall.
