[W:775]Trump: ‘I think I’d take’ damaging info on 2020 rival from foreign operatives

They are being spoon fed lies, and they come here to repeat them.

It's disgusting to watch Trump fans spin and lie this way but it isn't surprising, is it?

It isn't surprising, but it is sad, pathetic, and disgusting.

He asked for and accepted dirt on his political opponent from a hostile foreign power.

So, tell us exactly what dirt he accepted from a hostile foreign power again?

You're going to have to help me out here. I read that article two time and I can't find the word "stolen" anywhere.

Seems you ARE making **** up again.

So you are now claiming that Trump was not helped by information that was stolen by the Russians and given to his campaign, and that he did not welcome that activity? That's not what the Mueller report says. You are the one making up **** again, and again, and again, ad nauseum.

Nothing was given to the Trump campaign. The DNC files were released by Wikileaks for which the campaign had no knowledge of content or timing as to release.

???

I haven't said anything about any of that. I'm just asking about this "stolen" nonsense.

Seems you've stopped making **** up and are now deflecting to irrelevant nonsense.

Re: Trump: ‘I think I’d take’ damaging info on 2020 rival from foreign operatives

I haven't read every page of this thread, so my apology in advance if I'm guilty of repetition. Here is what John Hinderaker (Power Line) says:

As Trump told Stephanopoulos, there is nothing wrong with listening to information that anyone, foreign or domestic, might have that is relevant to a presidential candidate. But what is blindingly obvious, yet absent from every Democratic Party news account feigning horror at the ABC interview, is that the Hillary Clinton campaign didn’t just receive “foreign dirt” on the Trump campaign. It paid for foreign sources to fabricate lies about Trump, which it then disseminated to the press. Listen to “foreign dirt”? The Clinton campaign paid for it! A New Low In Press Cluelessness? | Power Line

Not worthy of a response. Back to reading Breitbart for you, my friend.

It's repition. The counter argument seems to be that as long as an American is actually the middle man, it's perfectly ok to receive political dirt from foreigners. Even Russians.
Presumably though, less your name is Trump. But we don't know for a fact because, of course, Trump never received information from Russian sources.

Anyone who blames the dems for not holding trump to account for his criminal behavior and not the republicans is either an idiot or delusional.
FFS dude I never said anything like that.

You claim not to be a republican which might be true but you're obviously so hateful of democrats that you're hatred is blinding you to the truth and making you seem really, really ignorant.

You can keep insulting liberals and democrats if you'd like, but I'm done here. Have a nice day.
If you cannot handle criticism of your political party, you should stay offline. I mean come on I only said that the democrats were dragging their feet. I never attacked the democrats called them anything, please do not lie to my face dude. Go ahead find a quote anywhere on this forum where I did do such a thing; I challenge you. Back up your insults or go crawl under a rock and hide in your dishonest bull****. Do it or look like a complete idiot.

The Democrats seem more concerned with their 2020 chances than with their responsibility to hold the president responsible for his actions. They should have wrote up articles of impeachment a long time ago. But they listened to the GOP/Trump propaganda that Trump could use impeachment to get re-elected. So Trump is still getting away with criminal behavior and its the democrats fault since they refuse to do their duty. Its time to put up or shut up and let Trump become a dictatorship. If you think thats insulting ask yourself if the tables were turned would a Democrat President still be standing at this point? Of course not the GOP would have been all over a President like Trump if it were not a Republican.

Yup. just as I expected. Its OK for Hillary and the Libbies, but not OK for Trump.
You people are such hypocrites. No wonder Trump beat your queen.

Yes, the Russian help payed dividends and Trump and his supporters are praying to see something similar with the next Democratic candidate.

All this talk that supposedly Trump was joking when he invited publicly Russia to find Clinton's emails with his "Russia if you are listening" speech was just (as we all knew it) a lie.

You wanted to ge this help. Trump Jr wanted to get this help, ad Trump himself expressed a clear desire to get such help. The Russians listened and they delivered!
Sure, such things do not satisfy the definition of a crime, but they do show the mind set of the Trump supporters. They try to make America "Great Again" by letting their county becoming a banana republic where foreign powers can make their case to influence domestic elections.

Feel free to chant about it....

Your suppositions...although baseless...are cute.
However nobody sees the USA becoming any sort of banana republic. That is, as long as that damn border get shut down post haste.

You need to stop crying about something that happened over 2 years ago, and smell the roses.
Hatred will eat you up.

No, it does not. The Clinton campaign hired an American company, Fusion GPS, who in turn hired a private citizen, Christopher Steele. Nothing about that involved a foreign government.

I wonder how many times you and me and others will post the same set of facts, which don't even contain a lot of words or big words, before they will acknowledge it. I guess it really is forbidden to not keep advancing the lies you are fed in Trump Fan Nation.

No amount of truth will stop his lying.

It really is fascinating at how easily and willingly people will lie to defend a despicable person.

What's in it for them? I seriously want to know that. I'm in my 50s and never at any point in my life have I seen this kind of behavior with the exception of a certain group in the jungles of Guyana back in 1978. Why do they lie, insist on lying, spread lies, and believe lies, all for a man who wouldn't give them the time of day if he met them, and who has such contempt for his own supporters that he continues to troll and lie to them?

Maybe it is because of Political bigotry?

“Oppo Research?”

During the ABC interview Trump used this term three times in short order. I found it a bit forced...

"It's not interference. They have information. I think I'd take it. If I thought there was something wrong I'd go maybe to the FBI if I thought something was wrong," Trump explained. "But when somebody comes up with oppo research , right. They come up with oppo research. 'Oh, let's call the FBI.' The FBI doesn't have enough agents to take care of it. But you go and talk honestly to congressmen, they'll all do it. They always have. And that's just the way it is. It's called oppo research."

It's a mixture of tribalism and cognitive dissonance.

They support Trump. Presented with solid evidence that Trump is deceitful, corrupt, intellectually vacant, self-serving, and highly unpatriotic is too much to handle, so they retreat back into their pee-conceived views.

I do not know, but my guess is because he is such a horrible person, they feel it is okay for them to be horrible people. They can be as racist, as hateful, as power hungry as they want because Trump makes them feel it is okay to do so.

It is such blatant dishonesty and it truly is fascinating to see.

I did too.

I also cringed at his blatant lie in there. I'd like to him to name the names of the Congressmen who accepted "dirt" on their political opponents from foreign governments.

By the way, his other lie about not having enough FBI agents was also shocking. I heard an interview on the radio yesterday with the former Congressional rep who was heading Gore's campaign in 2000 and received the tapes and information about the Bush debate preps. He called his lawyer the day he got it, and his lawyer called the FBI that same day, and an agent came to the Congressman's office - that same day. And nobody thought that information came from a foreign government, and they STILL were there the same day.

Trump is a vile, disgusting, America hating liar.

Oh, man. This gets SO old, the misrepresentation and laughable pig-ignorance on the right.

If the Trump campaign had sent a private investigator to Moscow to interview people about the utterly absurd Uranium One 'story', nobody would have objected. It's opposition research. Happens all the time.

What Republicans did, and then Democrats later hired Christopher Steele to do, interview people, collect rumors, try and make sense of them, see if there's a narrative, falls into this category.

The quality of Steele's work you can dispute, and yet no one can demonstrate he 'fabricated lies'

He committed no crimes in the course of doing it

There is simply no rational comparison there between what twump did and what Steele did. None.

Why do you insist on repeating the lies of idiots like Hinderaker?
