Elderly Trump supporter pushed to ground during London anti-Trump protest

This is getting absurd. Elderly Trump supporters being attacked, lesbians on a bus being attacked, etc.

I do not see this getting any better anytime soon, there seems to be too much interest in justification for these crimes.

I don't think there's any evidence than an elderly Trump supporter was attacked.

And I don't see any justification.

And I don't think any of this is a trend.

Rather, sensational because exceptional.

You'll know there's a problem when the zombies come to eat your brain.

:)

Quick!!! Blame American Democrats for the conduct of some British guy in London!! :lamo :lamo :lamo

That was my first thought too. London has a real problem with violence on the streets, but what has that to do with us?

I'm not trying to minimize elder abuse or physically attacking others whose viewpoints you don't like. A few months ago an 85-year old man praying outside an abortion clinic was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked. Terrible. 85-year-old pro-lifer attacked while praying outside San Francisco Planned Parenthood: video | Fox News

Yeah, of course it's terrible. Rational people may disagree on the pro-life or pro-choice issue but an old man praying doesn't deserve a beating.

But that isn't the reason SLC started this thread. And London is not a city in America, and it's a safe bet that the attacker isn't an American liberal.
SLC is just one more DP member who spends entire days searching for ways to post thread after thread after thread saying the same thing:

Look at scary libtard hurting Trump supporter - - Libtards bad, libtard need prison, libtard hates America, libtard very bad, libtard no get right to say nothing, libtard libtard libtard libtard A=A=A=A=A=A bla bla bla quack quack quack.

So my question is, what does a senseless attack in London have to do with people on the Left in America?

This video also begins in the middle of an incident.

It seems to reveal the elderly man attacking the younger man with a pipe, stick or bar - !! - and the younger man getting the better of the encounter.

Confusing, but you don't have a right to attack someone because you're elderly.

You're right.

Nobody has the right to physically assault anybody.

There's no excuse for attacking the old guy, who by the way wasn't praying just before he was assaulted.

In the 23-second video, a bicyclist can be seen crumpling up a banner while being followed by a demonstrator, who is holding a sign. The demonstrator then tries to put his sign in the spokes of the man's bike.
There is no indication the guy on the bike was a "pro-abortion activist", more like a punk who was pedalling thru the demonstrators in front of the Planned Parenthood clinic.

Edit: Looks like 3leftsdoo beat me to the thread.

Political party is not a protected class. Your book is stupid and bigoted. You are apologizing for hate crimes.

You do realize that your asinine contribution to this thread reads like you are condoning assaulting the elderly?

Step 1) Make an idiotic statement mischaracterizing the attack as "throwing a milkshake"

Step 2) Argue that the old man wasn't a protected class therefore... what, exactly? It's OK to assault him?

Maybe you should have started with "I think this is an awful thing that was done to that old man" before launching into all the other idiocy you are contributing...

Shoving an old man down because he likes Trump is a hate crime in my book. I know its not technically one but assaulting a senior citizen because of his political persuasion is shameful and cowardly. 5 male teens attack two gay women is also cowardly and shameful. We don't know the motives of the 5 teens yet they my have been from the right or they may be homophobic Muslim youths we just don't know. We do know the motives of the anti Trump protestors. Both groups DISGUST me.

I think the fact that the subway story vanished is a pretty good indicator that the assailants didn't fit the desired narrative.

You need to read a bit more - the incident of "throwing a milkshake" took place before the old guy was pushed to the ground.

What I found interesting, that nobody else noted, the old man was in a crowd of Trump protestors. He was confronted by a couple of them who assaulted him. While on the ground, others in the mob helped him to his feet and asked if he needed more help.

My point being: One can protest a person or subject and still act in a decent humane manner toward opponents -- Don't paint all of your opponents as thugs and vicious inhumane beings, There is no way forward when you refuse to listen to those who oppose your beliefs.

The "frail elderly man" was a Trump activist who attacked the protester and was firmly rebuffed. Had the response been more than proportionate the protester would have been charged with assault. He wasn't.

The thread is about the assault on the old man, not the milkshake.

... Sooooo Anti-Trumpers knock an old man to the ground... but it's OK because some other anti-Trumpers helped him up?

You mean, there were fine people on both sides?

Trump hate is not a left/right issue. Maybe the Right should try to figure out why.

The Right has figured it out Heir Calamity. Heil mein Furher….Death to the non-approved humans who don't kiss the Progressive ring.

Do you realize that gaslighting isn't as effective when there is video?

WOW! Denial of one's own words does seem to have trickled down from the Great Leader to his minions and acolytes. YOUR words: "Step 1) Make an idiotic statement mischaracterizing the attack as "throwing a milkshake"

Oh the left will make excuses or try to minimize the behavior its already started.

Well, they shouldn't. Treating people with violence is never the answer.

You mean like Maxine Waters told people to do?

She shouldn't have said what she said either. Does not make Trump inciting violence any better.
I thought we were ALL better than this bull****.

It isn't about "throwing a milkshake", Somerville. It is about shoving an old man to the ground. ecofarm tried to pretend that the incident we are discussing was throwing a milkshake, it isn't.

These videos that begin halfway into incidents...

They're subject to considerable narrative manipulation, and either/both sides can claim that something happened before (or after) which demonstrates that the OTHER side is guilty, and further that >this is how EVERYONE on the OTHER side behaves< and so forth.

My experience with demonstrations is that regardless of gender, age or political disposition, there's always someone who will do something stupid, and someone else who will react in kind.

We should all be watchful about assuming the other side is somehow overrun with the REAL bad actors, because stupidity - especially in the adrenalized moments of public demos - tends to pop up across the board.

Elder abuse is a crime. And this happened in England are you sure they have hate crimes and are you sure that assaulting a senior citizen in England isn't a hate crime?

Perhaps you should look into what a hate crime is. Apparently you will be surprised by the definition. He wasn't abused because he was elderly and it doesn't appear his age played any role in the crime.

You can attempt to make this an example of anti Trump violence but it is nothing compared the idiots in Trumps camp and more importantly this type of behavior is the direct result of the division and hate Trump spews on a daily basis. Trump has Americans hating Americans, left and right hating each other rather than just disagreeing. I know this happened in England but it is a ripple effect to the damage he is causing here.

let's look at another incident where a tRump opponent's face assaults the fist of an old man

because the old bastard is old does not mean he was an innocent, as the above video shows
what was his intent to confront a crowd of active tRump opponents. hell, there was even a stupid antifa flag flying to let him know he was in the midst of a bunch of hoodlums
pops certainly was a willing participant in this fray UNLESS it can be shown he has dementia and wandered into that crowd by mistake

Elderly Trump supporter pushed to ground during London anti-Trump protest | Fox News

Video taken during an anti-Trump protest in central London on Tuesday captured a group of men assaulting and knocking an elderly fan of President Trump to the ground.
The video showed a mob surrounding the man, then pushing him to the ground as they chanted “Donald Trump’s not welcome here,” during the rally in Parliament Square where Britain's left-wing Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn gave a speech widely seen as anti-Trump.
The video surfaced after someone at the same protest threw a milkshake at another Trump supporter while he was surrounded by several anti-Trump protesters chanting "Nazi scum," as The Telegraph reported.

The older man, wearing a red and white hat, could be heard in the video saying “get off” as the other men grabbed his jacket and pushed him.

People around the supporter immediately helped him get back up and made sure he was not injured.
==============================================================

So this is how the tolerate left behaves? He could have been easily injured. At his age many people break their hips in falls. Shameful TDS behavior.

Greetings, SLC. :2wave:

My first thought after reading that the elderly Englishman was okay after being pushed to the ground by a group of protesters was... "why would anyone in London ever give a rat's patootie about anything Trump does?" Sheesh!

Yeah, its the UK- there are weird people over there.

Oh my, the snowflake Trump supporters on Fox are now complaining about crowds doing violence to those that disagree. Let’s remember that it was the Orange Julius that encouraged his rally crowds to rough up hecklers. He even said he’d pay their legal bills (which he reneged.)

Didn't have access to a vid before.

Congrats you found one. Your racist hero has inspired thousands of incidents like this. Who the **** do you think you're kidding?

Who inspired this incident?
