[W:134,270] London bus attack: Arrests after gay couple who refused to kiss beaten

Wow! This is by far the dumbest thing I've read this month. And I've read some really dumb things including someone defending the classless way the Raptors fans behaved last night.

Thank you... For a minute there, I thought it was just me!

Lol! Conservative presidents believe in personal responsibility. They certainly would not be promoting for "an entire generation of illiterate, ambivalent, lazy, dependent, overweight people".

What you claimed earlier makes no sense at all.

Conservative presidents like Richard Nixon, George Bush, or Donald Trump you mean? "Personal responsibility" to them meant saving their own personal asses.

Just to be clear...
So you are saying that these Republican presidents did not promote self-responsibility?
They entered office with the goal of constructing "an entire generation of illiterate, ambivalent, lazy, dependent, overweight people"?

Many were at the anti-Trump rallies...

Because we know how supportive Trumpsters are when it comes to the LBGT community.

Has the confirmation that the attackers were non-white (and by extension, not conservative) happened yet?

Well, you're wrong about all of it. Our country has never in our history been so vulnerable and do you understand why? It's because Americans are so self-absorbed that they've put themselves above community, above country and above humanities. The US was technologically focused on developing software that created social media platforms, anime and video games, and online pornography while China, Russia and Iran were developing technological software that allowed them to gain strategic advantages over the US in spyware, missiles, weapons with hypersonic characteristics and star wars.

This is where this country failed miserably. We're a country of illiterate youth that end up working at Burger King and living in their parent's basements until they're 40 or more. Our government created an entire generation of illiterate, ambivalent, lazy, dependent, overweight people.
They live in their mother's basement because they need a "safe place".

he's a bigot and a fool.
Like it or not he does not care if people are gay or not. He nominated an openly gay man for Ambassador to Germany. The whole Trump hates gays is a construct of the Democrat party and is a false narrative.

You didn't get the memo?
Trump hates Gays.... oh, and puppies and kittens too. He pulls their little toes off when no one is looking.

Beating kids is what lazy, irresponsible and useless parents do. Children learn from their parents behaviour/actions. Responsible parents do not teach their children that beating someone and using physical punishment is an appropriate way to express feelings and to solve problems.

There are many other ways to convey a message if parents can actually be bothered and take the time to do so. Consistency, love, respect, understanding and knowing how to communicate with your child is a much more effective way to bring about acceptable behavior instead of superficially "good" behavior based only on fear.

What in the world makes you think those two things are mutually exclusive?

Wise parenting will include both. Consistency, love, and communication is hardly something you have to give up to include corporal punishment where needed. Indeed, I would say it is more likely to be foolish (and destructive) parenting that chooses to value the feelings and self-regard of the parent over the need of the child to learn that some violations of others do not result in a talking to, or a loss of privilege, but an imposition of physical, painful, cost. You can either teach them that lesson when they are 10, or watch society teach it to them when they are 20, and the stakes are much higher.

Violence against children teaches them that might is right.

bull****. he does everything he can to stick his thumb in the eye of the LBGT community. i hope that they soundly reject his reelection bid and vote against his cultists in the Senate and House.

Moderator's Warning:
Trump and the LGBT community is not the topic here. If you'd like to discuss that, please create a thread for that. Let's stick to the topic of this thread.

As much as I would love to continue this discussion, the mod warning prevents me from responding in any detail to this. Just so you know.

This seems to be nothing more than a few ignorant punks acting like idiots. This happens all the time with all types of people being the victim. I don't get this sky is falling attitude people have these day's. They're more people on the earth and now more way's these incidents can be documented. It makes sense to me that these types of behaviors are perceptually on the rise.

Understood, and no worries, mate :)

Think about it until you understand. If you're still confused, read it again.
