Special counsel Robert Mueller to make statement Wednesday on the Russia probe, his first public com

Pelosi is speaker of the House, 2nd in the line of succession to the presidency and the highest official of her party in the federal government. The House whose members are elected from their states is the impeachment body and the prosecutor in a subsequent Senate trial.

Federal prosecutors are a part of the executive branch -- Department of Justice -- who are appointed from in the executive branch and who practice law in the judicial system. While prosecutors have no authority or jurisdiction over a sitting president the Congress does have it and Congress has it exclusively. There's nothing strange about any of this. It's all regular and Constitutional. All the same you'd rather have the prosecutors on the sidelines speaking out for you rather than speaking out against your guy as they are in fact doing.

Lindsey Graham has threaten to bypass trial go straight to vote in Senate. Could be fast and painless.

Was very clear from his speach. Trump committed crimes, but because of policy no charges could be made and since no charges could be made, then the report could not out right state what crimes he committed. As he said "the picked the wording very carefully". One of the words not picked was innocent....

It is more and more clear that the Russians got Trump his presidency and that Trump has committed crimes that as a sitting president he can not be charged with due to policy in the DoJ.

It is time for Congress and the GOP specifically to do thier jobs and rectify the situation....but ain't holding my breath since the GOP has become a Trump cult, as we have already seen in answers of this thread.

So Mueller brings no new evidence of obstruction or collusion, and says the matter is officially closed,
and the trolls are drooling all over themselves. You truly can't fix stupid. They don't want to do it. That would be
a disaster for them. They just want to yap about it, non-stop. They don't have anything else.

Trump doesn't need to commit a crime to have his term terminated.

Trump has violated the spirit and the letter of the Constitution and the oath a multiplicity of times since he took the oath then wiped his ass with it.

Thanks for sharing.

Barr didn't conduct the 2 year long investigation, Mueller did. All Barr did was make himself a puppet for Trump and just three weeks in his job he decided to give his own interpretation of the report, NOT Mueller's.

Barr's "investigation" is nothing more than digging to find a unicorn in order to help Trump's case, but it's not going to happen.

But it's got you nervous enough to post the nonsense you did.

It would be outside of what is the Constitutional regular order which would be dubious but perhaps doable. The House would need to impeach first which remains problematical. Still, if impeachment hearings did occur, they would consume several weeks at the least of a high visibility process which is likely to sway public opinion to accept it. Nothing however says impeachment is likely or inevitable. So presently Graham is blowing hot reelection air.

Not an option. Article II §2.

If Graham made that suggestion, then he's just made himself more of a joke. It actually makes me feel embarrassed for him.

Reminds me of Benghazi and her emails. All that political capital wasted. All those investigations and...nothing. That explains why the right hates Comey so much. He said she wasn't guilty, and the GOP tried desperately to prove her guilty.

Such a big fail for the Republicans.

There is so much that you don't know about the handling of the classified data, the govt secure network systems and the regulations that every single govt employee is trained (annually) to abide by, that you support this absolute erroneous crap about Hillary. Every single govt employee and military person that deals in handling of classified data and the classification process KNOWS what she did would put everyone else behind bars. Comey made the argument that they couldn't prove INTENT on the part of Hillary. Well 1) INTENT plays no role in the law whatsoever, and he ****ing knows that; 2) the way the secure networks are setup, there was no way the classified data could have gotten onto her private unsecure email server without being done INTENTionally. There is ZERO ZERO ZERO possibility of it getting onto her system without INTENTional spillage; and 3) she was given the same training as everyone else, probably even more, so she KNEW what she was doing. This wasn't her first rodeo, she was a US senator on the Intelligence Committee. Probably even had a clearance as First Lady (guessing). 4) Strzok changed the wording from "GROSS NEGLIGENCE" (actually part of the law) to "EXTREME CARELESSNESS". Comey absolutely let her off the hook. 5) Hillary, as Sec State, was a classification authority; meaning she could classify anything she produced or her department produced. Only a classifying authority can declassify the data they classify. Her office was a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), so she was producing classified data right in her office. You don't get to do that job without a thorough knowledge of how to handle classified data............so everything is intentional. Having the classification headers removed from emails, doesn't declassify them.

SHE ABSOLUTELY BROKE THE LAW!

Beyond Hillary, what did Obama know?

Exactly. He said what we have been saying all along. He could not exonerate Trump of obstruction for a reason - and now it's up to Congress to investigate.

Trump Fan Nation is weeping right now. This was not what they wanted or expected him to say.

*it's up to Congress to investigate.*

No tres, it's up to the House to begin impeachment proceedings, the investigation is over after nearly 2 years.

I'm not nervous even a little bit. Quite the contrary. I'm elated to see Trump and Sarah Sander ****ting their pants. I'm delighted that there's a fire that's finally been set under the butts of the Democrats. I'm excited more than ever now to see how off kilter Trump will go now out of desperation.

An indictment isn't proof of guilt and a grand jury doesn't find people guilty.

On the first part, that's right, an indictment is merely a charge. But the second part, how much do you want to bet on that?

Okay... just more partisan fare. From your post, I thought he was talking about bypassing the House and just going to a vote in the Senate.

the house is just a vote....the trial would/could be in Senate or just rushed through as Graham has suggested...meaning no long dragged out circus trial

Good lord .......... 37 pages about Mueller's statement and he said nothing we didn't already know except he has resigned and my report is my testimony. :lamo

No, I think that smell your getting is closer to home.

Circus trial?

So you've already got your mind made up? Doesn't matter what evidence may come to light? It's all just some vast conspiracy against Trump?

Not so fast!!

Gregg Jarrett: The two faces of Robert Mueller, and Trump'''s presumption of guilt | Fox News

He told Barr and his staff a different story. So you just stand by.

The resisters thought for sure that Mueller was going to hang Trump out to dry. That's why they kept saying "we'll accept what the Mueller report has to say". When it didn't say what they wanted it to say, they had to go to Plan B.

The only surprising thing is that anyone's surprised.

But Democrat's gotta Democrat.

soon to be reviled conspiracy...yes

Only those indicted and found guilty by the Grand Jury.

Grand Juries don't determine guilt or innocence HumblePi. You were school concerning this a few days ago, don't make a fool of yourself again.
