It's only obvious to those with a preconceived notion that it occured, actual proof be damned. The dems will investigate and it will likely cost them votes, but time will tell. So far, no proof of obstruction has been proven, only hunches and suspicions.Yes keep on whistling as you pass by the graveyard. Like it or not it is obvious that trump obstructed justice and he just laid it at the feet of Congress. Going to be very hard to ignore.
You must have watched a different speech than the one that actually aired. You want that because you think it will play well for Trump. Don't be so sure. Mueller clearly said Trump committed the act of obstruction of justice. The fact that he couldn't be charged is a mere technicality that the public will see through.
As an aside, what is really disappointing to me is the message. If you are a successful private individual, you don't stand a chance entering the rarified air of big time politics.
There are unwritten rules, and don't anyone dare upset them.
How is the Nation going to attract great qualified talent, when entering the arena means total economic and personal destruction?

From the Times:KLATTU said:and yet never *actually* forced Mueller's removal , even though he easily could have.
Wave everybody....wave bye byes to the obstruction case.
Mueller didn't get fired because Trump's staff stopped him -- not because Trump didn't want to -- or didn't direct others to do it.Mr. Trump began trying to get rid of Mr. Mueller, only to be thwarted by his staff. In instance after instance, his staff acted as a bulwark against Mr. Trump’s most destructive impulses. In June 2017, the president instructed Donald F. McGahn II, the White House counsel, to remove Mr. Mueller, but Mr. McGahn resisted. Rather than carry out the president’s order, he decided he would rather resign.
Two days later, Mr. Trump asked another trusted adviser, Corey Lewandowski, to tell Mr. Sessions to end the investigation. Mr. Lewandowski did not want to, so he punted to a colleague, Rick Dearborn. He, too, “was uncomfortable with the task and did not follow through.”
Here's the crux of his 9 minute speech;
"If we had confidence the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so. We did not"
Basically he said that the DOJ cannot indict a sitting president and it's up to Congress to follow through with the findings of his report regarding obstruction.
Exactly. It wasn't his job to charge Trump with the crime of obstruction of justice. It's Congress's job.
Now they just may do it. That has you terrified.
Mueller's bud Comey just yesterday published an oped in the WaPo saying he Comey was confident Barr's inquisition against the investigators would come out okay for the good guys. Perhaps Mueller will confirm this. After all, each Comey and Mueller is a chain of command guy who doesn't rock the boat and the Mueller appearance today at DoJ was just announced in a Department news release. Perhaps DoJ ran out ahead of the event with its release yet I can't conceive of the milquetoast Mueller throwing hand grenades at DoJ or Trump.
Impeach the SOB!! Guilty of obstruction
Why would I be scared of the Resistance going all Jim Jones? Like I've said a million times already, the sooner the better.
Impeach the SOB!! Guilty of obstruction

Are all successful private individuals as shady as Trump? He was well known for being shady long before this.
From the Times:
Mueller didn't get fired because Trump's staff stopped him -- not because Trump didn't want to -- or didn't direct others to do it.
He didn't say anything that wasn't in the report. Nothing. In fact he said "the report is my testimony".
So once again, Mueller fires up the furnace with the same gas he used before.
I agree, go for Impeachment. Let's get this done immediately.
I think everyday Americans need to see exactly what the Democratic Members of the House are made of.
An advertisement with video overlays of their conduct in previous hearings, and what will no doubt be the Circus of the Century with Impeachment, will likely play well for one Political Party.
Not according to the law. An act of obstruction is the same as an attempt of obstruction.Seems to me that wanting to obstruct is benign compared to an act of actual obstruction. Trump is innocent of the latter.
Jim Jones? I think you're confusing "the Resistance" (whatever that is) to Trump Fan Nation.
Glad you support the Congressional investigations into Trump. After Mueller's comments today, they will heat up and you will hear about them 24/7. Even on Fox.
That's precisely why over 1,000 prosecutors signed a letter attesting to the fact that there was clear evidence of obstruction of justice and Republican Congressman Justin Amash even sited each and every incidence noted in the volume II of the special counsel's report as evidence of obstruction of justice. Mueller's hands were tied, Congress' hands are not.
The special counsel report volume II is the roadmap left by Mueller that will lead to Trump's impeachment for obstruction of justice. In the end, justice will prevail, the US Constitution will prevail, the rule of law will prevail and prove that NO MAN is above the law, not even Trump.
You want that because you think it will play well for Trump. Don't be so sure. Mueller clearly said Trump committed the act of obstruction of justice. The fact that he couldn't be charged is a mere technicality that the public will see through.
The "investigation" is over. Get on with the impeachment and feeding the rabid on both sides, it's a toothless meaningless effort. You are not anywhere near the 67 votes in the Senate so it's irrelevant.
Not according to the law. An act of obstruction is the same as an attempt of obstruction.
