Trump gives AG Barr authority to declassify documents related to 2016 campaign surveillance | Fox News

President Trump on Thursday night issued a memo giving Attorney General William Barr the authority to declassify any documents related to surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016.

Trump also ordered the intelligence community to cooperate with Barr. The memo read: "The heads of elements of the intelligence community... and the heads of each department or agency that includes an element of the intelligence community shall promptly provide such assistance and information as the Attorney General may request in connection with that review."

Things are about to get A LOT more interesting...

I don't believe Barr will declassify documents until after the indictments. With this being a criminal and not just a civil matter, wouldn't releasing be paramount to poisoning the jury pool?

Oh dear... that will open a box of secrets meant to never see the light of day.

I'm sure it's nothing. Tin foil hat, Qannon... nothing but craziness.

Republicans are just dusting off the old FISAgate stuff, in hopes it will stick this time.

Remember folks, the deputy AG and FBI director that were appointed by Trump have no doubt seen these warrants, and the former signed a renewal application. If there was something illegal about the surveillance, they would want no part of any sort of cover-up, and they'd be on the front lines to expose it.

Riiiiight, because that's why the investigation is still only called a "review" even after a year of the IG and Republicans having access to everything.

They're just playing you man, they're just playing you.

What this actually means is that the IG report is finished.

Nancy will no doubt spin this into that "cover up" nonsense she was blathering about.

It's hard to claim "cover-up" with the actual documents laid out on the table for all to see.;)

Nancy will have 3 things to say about it...or two things...

What? Liberals don’t want all the facts? Transparancey?

Trade you the 2016 documents for the ones Trump is withholding.

And when the documents prove Comey, McCabe, and storzak were right will you accept that they have been wrongfully vilified?

Of course I will.

But I have this feeling that that isn't going to be the case...
