[W:89]Russian documents reveal desire to sow racial discord — and violence — in the U.S.

Re: Russian documents reveal desire to sow racial discord — and violence — in the U.S.

Yes, and specifically excluded neo-Nazis and white nationalists from this characterization. According to your blanket condemnation, anyone who showed up was deplorable.

Massive irony; you're arguing against your own ridiculous claims. Indeed.

Curious people showing up to see what’s going on are not on either side. Trump said there were fine people on both sides. He didn’t say there were five people showing up to see what was going on.

Re: Russian documents reveal desire to sow racial discord — and violence — in the U.S.

Irrelevant nonsense. The core issue for some was the removal/destruction or priceless shared cultural/historic treasures. Complete nonsense.

These were not “priceless historical treasures”.

These were tributes to traitors to the United States of America, and their statues were put up during reconstruction to make sure African-Americans and other large portions of the American populace still know their place.

After another question at that press conference, Trump became even more explicit:

“I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.”

That's correct, but this wasn't your original argument. :) Correct, and he specifically excluded two groups from this assessment. Irrelevant, but correct.

You really should go back and read what you've written here...

Incorrect.

Nonsense; incorrect.

Re: Russian documents reveal desire to sow racial discord — and violence — in the U.S.

I'd say they got their wish with President "very fine people," who used that term to describe Nazis marching in Charlottesville.

The real sin is that nothing substantive is being done to stop further Russian attacks on our election system.
I like how you conventionally pretend they only want to stir up one side of the racial divide.

OOPSIE I did not see post #82....sorry for the duplicate information....

Actually if you read the entire transcript (where Trump was supposed to made the offending comments) it's clear that Trump condemns Neo Nazis and White Supremist. Here is a quote of Trump answering a reporters questions. TRUMP; " "So you know what, it’s fine. You’re changing history. You’re changing culture. And you had people -- and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists -- because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly."

When Trump is mentioned in mass media aka leftist propaganda, aka Orwellian doublespeak be sure to check the source. The truth if it can be found will set you free, eh? As far as Russian meddling goes I agree that if we are doing nothing to stop Russian influence its definitely a problem. However I am not privy to CIA documents but the Russians and before that the USSR have attempted to harm the USA's elections according to the internet. So I am guessing our spooks are hard at work against such attacks.

OP based on word twisting. Trump derided the people on both sides causing chaos and violence and then stated, "and there are very fine people on both sides".

Why keep lying?

Why even bother to lie? There is so much to actually criticize.

These are flat out untrue statements and should be corrected.
People who do not know better or who are not paying attention will listen to the bs and accept this false narrative.

"Out of more than 15 minutes of questions and answers, the press glommed onto the three seconds where Trump said “You also had people that were very fine people on both sides.” It was made to look as though Trump had equated white supremacists who hijacked the event and liberals who were there to counterprotest.

This is precisely the opposite of what Trump said.

Trump made clear several times during the conference that he was referring specifically to those who had showed up to demonstrate against the statue’s removal and that he otherwise condemned the white supremacists.

What Trump said, as transcribed by the Los Angeles Times:
“I’ve condemned neo-Nazis. I've condemned many different groups. But not all of [the people at the rally] were neo-Nazis, believe me. Not all of those people were white supremacists, by any stretch. Those people were also there because they wanted to protest the taking down of a statue, Robert E. Lee.”

A reporter yelled out, “Both sides, sir?”

Referring to the so-called antifa, which was also present at the rally wearing masks, throwing paint, and spraying urine, Trump said, “Well, I do think there's blame — yes, I think there's blame on both sides.”

But Trump also said, “You have some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides.”

He again specified that he was not referring to white supremacists, saying, “You had people, and I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists” [emphasis added].

Later, he said, “If you look, they were people protesting very quietly the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. I'm sure in that group there were some bad ones.”

It is good that Joe "China" Bidenn started his campaign with this easy to disprove tired, old media lie."

And...

Election Systems and Software (ES&S), which is the third largest election system vendor in the U.S., announced it will work more closely with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISAC) in an effort to increase security of its systems ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

Lets look at how the previous administration handled the situation.

Obama's cybersecurity coordinator confirms Susan Rice ordered him to 'stand down' on Russian meddling

"Michael Daniel confirmed Wednesday that former national security adviser Susan Rice ordered him and his staff to "stand down" in 2016 in regard to Russian attempts to meddle in the 2016 election.

Daniel, special assistant to former President Barack Obama and White House cybersecurity coordinator, told members of the Senate Intelligence Committee that quotes attributed to him in the book, Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump, were an "accurate rendering of the conversation" he had with Rice and his staff.

Daniel's staff reportedly responded to the order in "disbelief."

Re: Russian documents reveal desire to sow racial discord — and violence — in the U.S.

No it hasn't. Only people with severe TDS think Trump didn't say some of the Neo Nazis and KKK and Charlottesville were very fine people.

1. It was a rally hosted by White Supremacists.

2. It was a rally whose stated purpose was to unite White Supremacists from across the country.

3. People were carrying Nazi and KKK paraphernalia.

4. People were chanting Nazi slogans.

I've noticed that you and I have a very big difference in the people we consider friends. An earlier post of yours indicated that in your opinion someone who brags about sexually assaulting women is "very macho."

Just so you know, in my world, "very fine people" do no attend White Supremacist rallies, nor do they stay to support the White Supremacists. But hey, to each their own eh.

The White Supremacists certainly got Trump's message loud and clear:

One group loved Trump's remarks about Charlottesville: White Supremacists

Neo-Nazis Praise Trump's Response to Charlottesville: ‘He Said He Loves Us All'

And Trump, don't he love him some White Supremacists. His primary campaign strategy for exciting his base is designed to work on cowardly racists. That's what Trump apparently thinks of his base, and so far they ahve rewarded him handsomely.

Hail Trump: White nationalists mark Trump win with Nazi salute - BBC

Trump: I'm a nationalist and I'm proud of it

And that is exactly why Putin put trump in office...

Re: Russian documents reveal desire to sow racial discord — and violence — in the U.S.

It was a white supremacist rally and there is nothing "historical" about those statues of traitors that were put up to intimidate blacks and propagate the "Lost Cause" fallacy.

And let's not forget a young woman was killed by one of "the very fine people"...

Without trump in office that mob would have never been able to come together.

Putin had to be laughing his ass off...

It was a white supremacist rally period. Everyone there knew that was what it was. The "Lost Cause" statue was just the excuse. And as far as the standing down, the travesty was not informing the American people that Trump was under FBI investigation for collusion with the Kremlin since the summer of 2016. That was the fatal error and it was made out of abundance of caution not to be accused of interfering with the election. That is what the "disbelief" was about.

Re: [W:89]Russian documents reveal desire to sow racial discord — and violence — in the U.S.

It was a white supremacist rally period.

Incorrect. There are plenty of historians, artists, and common people that have many reasons to avoid behavior like destruction, expense, do not wish to forget the mistakes of the past, and on and on..

Dont strain yourself hefting the goalposts regardless.

The original claim is an obviously disproved lie...Period.

Your claim of artistic or historical merit of the lost cause statues is disproved..... They were and always will be monuments to white supremacy period. Just like the rally was.

The BSU’s demand for change is timely, coinciding with the analysis of Confederate monuments by art historians across the country.

When asked if these monuments should be kept in place for their artistic value, Kelley Helmstutler Di Dio, a professor of art history and associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, firmly said no.
“They have some historic value, but 99 percent of them have little artistic merit,” Di Dio said. “These monuments were mass-produced and put up in a time when the South was trying to figure out race relations.”
Her research has been focused on sculpture for the majority of her professional career, therefore she knows its value and purpose, she said.
The Society of Architectural Historians has the same view as Di Dio.

This is not a controversy about art or its censorship. The monuments were not intended as public art,” according to the Sept. 13 article by the organization.

I can agree that may be totally possible in your brain. Out here in reality there are many other people however.

Re: Russian documents reveal desire to sow racial discord — and violence — in the U.S.

Who are the very fine people on the side of unite the right? Absolutely none.

This statement presumes that the only statue-protesters in the situation were "Unite the Righters."
