Georgia won't be an option soon either since they passed the fetal heartbeat legislation.

I believe that's the passage that the recent Georgia abortion bill is also based on.
    From the ruling

"(a) For the stage prior to approximately the end of the first trimester, the abortion decision and its effectuation must be left to the medical judgment of the pregnant woman's attending physician."

    (b) For the stage subsequent to approximately the end of the first trimester, the State, in promoting its interest in the health of the mother, may, if it chooses, regulate the abortion procedure in ways that are reasonably related to maternal health.
This law does not allow for abortion in the first trimester, and does not show any relation to maternal health.

The woman is required to pay too. You didn't think that the paltry average child support payment pay for everything that a child need did you?

I am on the fence with incest, it would depend on what level of incest. As I was growing up first cousins were not allowed to marry, but now over half of the states, including Alabama, allow first cousins to marry. I have seen children born to such couplings with no problem and have seen some with horrible results. So it comes down to what level of incest should an abortion be allowed without question? I would say any combination closer than first cousins should allowed without question.

All that said, I do believe that this bill will end up DOA.

I really don't care how they vote on abortion in Alabama, but as long as you have a choice of 47 other states plus 2 neighboring countries to go to for abortions, in addition to "the pill after" up to 3 months into the pregnancy, I really don't understand the whining of the left ... "the bible-bashing conservatives want to to take us back to the stone age".

If a man was the one that had the choice in the matter, the abortion rates would triple.

Are women not responsible for their choices?
