American Nazis protested a Holocaust remembrance event. ...

Advocating giving holocaust denial academic legitimacy or any kind of legitimacy is supporting holocaust denial.

Telling students that some people - like the odious and possibly mad English academic David Iving - deny the reality of the holocaust is not 'supporting holocaust denial'.

This is a great example of the deranged and totalitarian nature of the modern left. To them, simply having students (and graduate students at that, who should be expected to be able to deal with conflicting opinions) read an alternative historical viewpoint makes one a "Nazi". And of course, an allegation of being a "Nazi" is sufficient to make one so.
It's not just a difference of equally reputable opinions, as you paint it. Crackpots who teach that the Holocaust didn't happen are not on equal academic nor intellectual footing as historians that teach the actual facts surrounding the Holocaust. It's also not a "left" vs "right" issue. It's facts versus nonsense, propaganda and misinformation. One side that believes that the Earth is flat don't merely have a 'conflicting opinion' about the shape of the planet, compared to those who can absolutely establish that it is round. One is factually correct and the other have a crazy disprovable idea.

White supremacist and anti-Semites pedaling a narrative that the Holocaust didn't happen aren't putting forth a position that is just "conflicting." They are pedaling fake facts that are plainly just false.

Dr. Link was not there. Thank you for continuing to demonstrate the dishonesty of the left.
Ah, you like people who support the fallacy that the Holocaust didn't happen and it's me that is being dishonest?

Is this America becoming great again?

After we become great again we will send you some of these fine people to help you guys be great... finally.

For reference, here's the article, though I can understand why the OP would've been too ashamed to actually link such a disgusting piece of propaganda:

American Nazis, white supremacists protested a Holocaust remembrance event. A university's scholarship is part of the reason why. - CNN

Typical of CNN, they've linked a controversy about a scholarship at Arkansas Tech to a completely unrelated event. Basically, there's a bunch of histrionic totalitarian SJWs who want a scholarship ended because the professor whose estate is funding it is rumored to have assigned graduate students reading material presenting an alternative view of a historical event.

The narrow-mindedness of these people sometimes beggars belief.

An alternative view? Like... the Holocaust never happened?

Hang on, Trump did attempt to dehumanize the "illegals" by referring to them as animals, rather than human beings. That's an old Nazi strategy.

While there is a lot wrong with your post, I found the above funny. I think you may be saying the left/democrats are using NAZI strategy?

Ilhan Omar blasts Donald Trump as 'not really' human - Washington Times

Rep. Ilhan Omar said no comparison is possible between President Trump and former President Barack Obama — one of them is subhuman.

New York magazine is taking a harsh swipe at President Trump with its new cover depicting the president as a pig.

No thank you very much. I suspect that what they call greatness and what we call greatness are two different things.
We already have ours and we want no part of theirs. Keep those fine people. They wouldn't like it here anyway. Too many furriners.

(CNN)For the past five years, Joyce Griffis and Congregation Chaim B'Derech have held a Holocaust March for Remembrance in Russellville, Arkansas. It's always been solemn and peaceful.

This year's march was supposed to be like all the others; attendees would march down Main Street, listen to speeches and offer prayers to commemorate and remember the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis during World War II.

Except white supremacists showed up holding Nazi flags, marching down an otherwise deserted sidewalk and signs that read, "The Holocaust didn't happen but it should have," while screaming references to Holocaust victims as "your imaginary 6 million."

The white supremacists carried crosses -- at least one was stained red -- alongside a picture of Jesus.

COMMENT:-

If the commission of crimes by "even one" is enough of a reason to deport ALL "illegal immigrants", how many is the minimum required to ban Nazis?

Bad argument.

Free speech is a thing.

Where'd you get that from? There's no link in the OP.
Whatever. 10 or 15 is 10 or 15 more than ever before. How should we express that? As a multiple, you'll be multiplying 0 for a long time trying to get to 1. Same with percentage- if 0 is 100% of the nazi assholes who showed up last year, how much did it increase?
You guys denying that expressions of this kind of racism and bigotry have increased in the past couple years is like those other guys denying global warming. Just because your Dear Leader says that a lie becomes the truth as soon as he utters it doesn't make it so.

Yes, last year it was zero and this year there are 10. Wow. Thats really significant.

That is not what AmNat is saying:

It's sad to see such closed-mindedness take over academia.

He is advocating that holocaust denial be presented as a legitimate viewpoint in academia and somehow the opposition to legitimizing holocaust denial means that academia is closed-minded and totalitarian.

I read elsewhere that the Nazis were shouting, "six million more." They need to make up their mind, "more" means they admit that 6 million died, which is contrary to denying that it happened.

However, I'm sure they're very fine people.

Good point IF this was chanted; people in groups...

Willful misinterpretation of Trump's words.

They have the same rights to free expression as anyone else.

Why do I have to repeat this? Freedom of expression is not limited to ideas and expression we like. It expressly protects expression we do not like.

I've mentioned this before. Back when the KKK and Nazis wanted to march in Skokie, I supported the ACLU lawsuit to allow this.

Why? Because I want them out in the open, to know they still exist and have some support. To SEE them and know who I need to watch out for and to keep me motivated against allowing them any real successes in our nation.

If you muzzle them, they simply go underground, but it doesn't stop them from growing or acting.

Meanwhile, if you stop them by claiming they are too "evil" to be protected by the First Amendment, you create an insidious exception. Then where does it stop? Perhaps YOUR group declared too "offensive" to be "tolerated?"

It's amazing that you had to say this, but I appreciate that you did. :)

furriners - I had to look that up.

You consider people protesting a Holocaust memorial insignificant? You don't see this story as indicating something is going wrong in your society?
Remarkable. Maybe...

Interesting.

And here I thought virtue signalers were 100% above board and rational...

Thats idiotic. !0 guys with flags does NOT indicate anything is wrong with a society of 330,000,000 people. It does, however, indicate there is something terribly wrong with your thinking though.

US is unique in that they have 2A rights, guaranteed which follow 1A Rights, freedom of speech.
While people in other western 1st world democracies have rights guaranteed, none have 2A, and no where do they come close to the free use of speech in the US.

So yes, they have the right to demonstrate under1 A

Always will be Nazis, always.

Nice catch. However, those wanting to interfere with their free speech are even more stupid than the "NAZIs" themselves. Real NAZIism is dead. These guys are just a few screaming misfits.

Some on the left, but Vaginahat liberals are generally more Brownshirt in their desire to take guns and silence speech. Disappointing behavior that I've witnessed in other contexts, as well as on this forum; it displays rigidity, highly conformist thinking, and a pathological desire to deny others their rights - it's Nazi-like. :( Indeed.

You must have lost your American accent.

I immediately thought of Canadian varmint or Moose... "fur" as some play on strange Canadian stuff.

Can't you tell......one can just feel the Love and compassion.

Vaginahat liberals/Democrats LOVE them some free speech...

As long as it conforms to their bigoted, rigid and ill-considered views. :(
