NRA could lose tax-exempt status: report

You stirred the pot yourself by selling the same nonsense that the left likes to sell.
You ignore that this attack took place in a gun free zone. The same place a majority of these same attacks take place.
You ignore that the authorities just ignored the fact that this kid was troubled and did nothing. While you also ignore that the authorities just sat outside while he killed those children.

But no, this woman. Pointing out something that the media gleefully does and uses the same imagery as a weapon against legal gun owners, as well as the NRA. Not to mention propping the survivors up on the corpses of their fallen classmates and say that it's either bigoted, or racist to criticize the propaganda that these kids have been told to spew.

I don't buy that **** for one instance.

Are you implying that I'm ignorant and you're going to teach me something by saying -- "You ignore that this attack took place in a gun free zone". I have news for you buddy, the 'Gun-Free School Zones Act' was passed in 1990 and ALL SCHOOLS are gun-free zones. It's logical to assume that all school shootings have taken place in 'gun-free' zones. But your entire country is gun-free except for your 'politsiya', right?

I haven't ignored anything, I know the story every bit as much as you and a billion people who read the story. Stop trying to deflect and push this narrative into directions it doesn't belong and stick to the topic of the thread, if that's possible. Your last statement just proves what a sick, twisted and demented mind you have. You are GONE.

Yeah, like never ever. :lamo

The NRA was founded by ex-Army officers to teach black folks how to shoot and protect their 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

It's literally, the oldest civil rights group in United States history.

But, we all know how Leftists feel about our civil rights.

And what were the vast majority of people shooting for? Hunting.

Yip, you and I have discussed this before. Even though the NRA used to be a great organization they morphed into a fundraising arm of the Republican party.

They used to be for conserving the environment, not anymore.

I made sure any money that used to go to them now goes to trout unlimited, and ducks unlimited, organizations that actually do good.

The NRA lost any little hope I had left for them when they started using that piece of ****, draft dodging, pedophile, poaching, pen shooter, Ted Nugent as a spokesman...

People shouldn't underestimate the last point you made here. The association with Nugent just emphasized how bad the NRA now is.

....she was wrong? I never see the news talking about black gangs in chicago when they get shot up every month.

Yes, she was wrong. Maybe you have no problem with her using the mothers of dead children for her attack on the media. Decent society has a problem with it.

Why hasn't she said how the crying family members of the 9/11 victims was ratings gold?

Ugh, I can't type anymore without getting a ding.

I'm not sure why it still has tax exempt status. Tax exempt organizations aren't allowed to be involved in politics, yet the NRA is balls deep in it.

Agree that it seems odd that they are tax exempt. That said, if being involved in politics determines Ines status then many churches would also lose their exempt status.

I think all churches should lose their tax exempt status, and not just because of their political involvement.

Like many other Americans, I wish the best of luck to the NRA.

Sadly, we need an organization that fights for the right of ordinary people to have weapons to defend themselves against all the bad actors out there.

The police never prevent crime; they come in only after the harm has been done.

People are on their own.

Sadly.

Um, no. They were teaching former slaves to shoot so they could defend themselves.

The 2nd Amendment doesn't have jack **** to do with hunting.

I have a problem with the media using the mothers of dead children to divide us, and she was absolutely correct to highlight that because it is a problem that should be addressed. There is nothing decent about a society that does such a thing. If this is the problem "decent" society wants to focus on, then maybe it's time to change that society, eh?

For Christ's sweet sake, how in the Hell were we "divided" about children being blown to bits in their ****ing classrooms?

Yeah - because back in the 1700's nobody hunted. :doh:roll:

Only to your mind and that of right wingers.

By pushing gun control legislation that would have done nothing, and did nothing, to stop the shooter? That's what the media does, they hijack narratives and use victims to push legislation they want. If that's not division, i don't know what is.

So some people that ideologically disagree with the group are filing case to remove their 501c 4 charity status.

I don't understand the hatred for the NRA if you disagree with someone disagree with them start your own charity. But to go after into attack others because they don't hold the opinion you wished they held, let's bigotry.

I don't think this lawsuit is going to go anywhere.

Everytown filed the complaint following an article in The New Yorker on Wednesday that claimed that "a small group of N.R.A. executives, contractors, and venders has extracted hundreds of millions of dollars from the nonprofit’s budget, through gratuitous payments, sweetheart deals, and opaque financial arrangements."

And if there is truth to the above claim, the NRA is in the clear.

So how exactly are they going to lose their tax exempt status?

Well it certainly isn't a non-profit organization for LaPerriere and some of the other officers who are making close to $1 Million per year. Other non-profit officers make 1/10th or 1/20th of their exhorbitant payrolls.
