Yes they did. But they also didn't say they were going to bomb hotels.

But let's say the authorities did do something about the warnings. What would that action be? Close all churches? It's like when Bush 43 was warned that they may attack our airlines. Should he have suspended airline travel indefinitely?

I think the pointing of fingers at the authorities, which every outlet in the world seems to be doing, isn't helping.

This is a terrible and horrifically sad story. Those poor innocent people.

Religion at its core is a system of moral philosophy, a road map for how people should conduct their lives. Depending on the message, it can be a means for good, or a means for bad. Personally, I don't find the moral teachings of Jesus ("Do unto others as you would have others do unto you," "turn the other cheek," "love thy neighbor," etc.) as evil, although people have committed evil in His name. But I make it a point to separate the two.

Doesn't it kinda seem like hedging for a radical move in response to a threat? The narrative is always (and instantly) "not fast enough" and "didn't do enough".

The good news is that world leaders have/are condemning these heinous attacks. The bad news, which I've learned only today, is that "Christians" is out while "Easter worshippers" is in. This is the phrase used by former President Obama, Hillary Clinton, various Dem Reps, and the Governor of Colorado in their tweets. :roll:

I heard about the "Easter worshippers" comments this morning. :roll:

More good news--they have been making several arrests. And they have been able to retrieve other bombs that were not detonated. Church congregations around the world are collecting offerings for the churches/congregations attacked. We have sent FBI experts to assist in the investigation as well as England and others.

But there really seems to have been an intelligence failure within the government of Sr Lanka. The whole thing is just heart breaking to see such acts of evil.
