i think that they know what he is, but he is also a good stick to poke left wingers with, so that has become enough. part of me laments that our system is set up like that, and another part of me knows how to operate in that environment.

I feel the same way.

He was my #1 choice in 2008. In spite of his flip-flopping I still supported him in 2012. He made it hard though what with his "severely conservative" attempt to pander to the far right instead of proudly standing for ... well, anything.

His flip-flopping about Trump could give a person whiplash.

I doubled checked it, and it seems you are right. It was Steele who was working in Britiain, so it seems that company outsourced the job to him
