AG Barr to give Thursday morning press conference on Mueller report

"HEAVILY REDACTED . . ." has been extensively reported? "larger version" has been reported? Where?

This is a preemptive thread, so when the report still doesn't say what they want it to, they can say, "see? Told'ya!!".

Yawn...grand jury testimony has to be redacted. Its the law...

Indeed.
The Trump haters only care about the law when it goes their way... Obviously, this report has their guts twisted in a knot. Poor babies. Someone should treat them for colic. :baby2

Sounds like you're hoping for this to happen.
There's about as much chance for this to happen as there is for the Easter bunny to bring you a bunch of 24k gold eggs Sunday morning.

The Trump haters are pretty predictable. All they did was talk up the Mueller report and now that they have it, they rebuke it.

They don't have the report. They haven't rebuked the report.

Why don't you ever know what you're talking about?

1. There is no indication that the press conference will happen before or after the release of the report.

2. Calling this a "heavily redacted" version of the report is nothing but speculative spin, since nobody knows exactly HOW redacted the report will be.

These two points just illustrate the usual nonsense from the media. Why can't they just engage in straight reporting of the facts?

As to why Barr is having the press conference? I suspect he wants to establish very early that everything he's done is based on law and policy. You know those idiot reporters will ask stupid questions...stuff that he cannot answer...and he'll be slapping them upside the head till they get it right.

Kinda like that 1989 thing where he said it was all on the up and up.

Except it wasn't.

You people are losing you minds over the fact that Mueller didn't find anything. :lamo

That's it!
Meltdowns are not pretty to watch, but this one, I have to admit is amusing. :2funny:

Quite the little gentleman, aren't you? Your words and behavior are only typical of dirty mouthed trumpsters. You bet I'll ignore you. Comment to your heart's content, I won't see any of them.

Ignore away. I generally associate with well-mannered people, so...

Keyword is heavily.
Where did you read that it will be "heavily" redacted?
We know it's going to be lawfully redacted. That's a given, but that does not mean it will be heavily redacted.
And why the shouting?

Calm down.

He's absolutely NOT WORKED UP! :lamo

I love this.
I hope they redacted a lot.
I'll love watching the reactions here.

It'll be like the posts that parrot what they know they're supposed to say.
EXAMPLE: Nancy says Barr's not Trump's lawyer, HE'S THE LAWYER FOR THE UNITED STATES.
How many times have you seen that gibe repeated on threads here?
Some might find that kind of thing tiresome to see over and over.
But to me it's validation of what we can see, but apparently they don't know everyone sees the parrotry.

Actually we're just wondering why they need to rebut nothing.

What tf does that have to do with what you quoted? To clarify, how does a secret meeting between the AG and the husband of a woman who was under investigation compare at all to a public press conference to go over the release of the Mueller report, something that's been called for since it's completion?

What stupid **** are you going to compare next? A fish and an orange?

Former AG Loretta Lynch had a clandestine meeting with a former President, her old boss (and certainly a reason she was in her current position) and the man who was and still is married to the target of perhaps the biggest investigation her department had ever seen (the Democratic candidate for President, in fact), as it was reaching its conclusion when very weighty decisions were to be made. By her.
Instead, Lynch punted her responsibility-abidicated her duty, actually-to James Comey and it was all made perfectly palatable because she arranged to sit down for a puff-piece interview with some Obama, left-wing toadie who pretended to be a journalist for the purpose of the charade.
Oh, sure, they yucked it up as Lynch did her best Hattie McDaniel impression and the toadie indulged her performance with bashful smiles and muted chuckles.

And all was well again in Obamaland.

Oh, sure, they yucked it up as Lynch did her best Hattie McDaniel impression and the toadie indulged her performance with fawning grins.

What About What About Obama......That won't excuse this fat toadie Barr from his lying for trump

Cue Rachel Maddow tomorrow night, sitting behind her desk, all wide-eyes and crooked-mouth, holding wads of redacted papers in both hands and she plaintively makes her case that this, THIS is the new conspiracy that she must inject into her viewers' veins like junkies looking for their next fix.

William Barr is now officially the Attorney General of one person, donald j-fineous trump.

He shared the Mueller report with the white house allowing the trump team to prepare their "rebuttal". Although according to trump and barr trump was totally exonerated, so why the need to prepare a rebuttal at all?

barr having a "press conference" to put trump's spin on the report has sacrificed totally his independence.

How low this white house and the office of the AG has fallen.

What is it with you people and jumping the gun?

Damn!

I predict Madcow will be crying like she did Election night 2016 and the day Mueller announced "I'm done, no more indictments".

Redacted?...What are the trump ass kissers afraid of...I thought he was "innocent"......Sure

Any guesses as to why William Barr feels it's necessary to have a press conference before the release of the heavily redacted Mueller report?

LOL, the circus that never ends. With the POTUS filling the role of head clown.

I feel sorry for all the people who don't support Trump. They're being laughed at around the world for something that's not even their fault.

Well that's interesting. I didn't think it was the role of the AG of the USA to coverup and deceive to protect the POTUS.

Or is that just since Trump has made the USA the laughing stock of the world? Glad my country's not the laughing stock of the world. ;)

LOL! Cue the sycophantic Trump worshipers whistling past the 20 state and federal investigations looking into Trump, his family and his businesses.

The entire planet, except for China, Russia, Israel and Saudi Arabia are ALL hoping that Trump gets defeated in 2020. So good for you, side with Russia, China and Saudi Arabia against every other country on earth that understands he's a low-down piece of crap.

AG Barr will disgrace himself and the office he holds on Thursday.... you can count on it. He presser will be a fiasco which is not designed to inform but to aid in the Trump cover up.

Sounds like he's planning to put some pre-release spin on it. Maybe make excuses for excessive redaction? Or maybe a nuclear option, flip everyone the bird and shout that they'll never let anyone see it? Maybe throw his hands up in disgust and announce retirement?

Should be fun either way.
