AG Barr to give Thursday morning press conference on Mueller report

It is kind of a waste of time. The press and the lefties in congress are going to say whatever they feel like saying anyway and anything he does say is going to be treated as if it's a lie and obstruction of justice and collusion and whatever else Don Lemon and Rachael Maddow can come up with.

Oh, I almost forgot, his press conference is racist too.
Yup. So we already know this version won't be enough (though they haven't even seen it). Then, the next version will be hiding something. Then, if they manage to get the "full" version it will be missing Mueller's notes and they'll begin to question what *didn't* make it in. Next, they'll claim the investigation wasn't thorough enough... etc.

Why would they let facts get in the way of their narrative? :lamo

News has said it will be simultaneous. Barr will have the report with him and offer explanations. Then it goes to Congress. Apparently its color coded as well so he wants to explain it fully. Rosenstein will also be there and answer questions.

I meant that is was done at the same day of release by Comey and Starr, sorry I know what Barr is doing.

IT HAS BEEN EXTENSIVELY REPORTED FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!! I didn't make it up out of thin air. GEEESUS
How do people who have never seen the report know it's heavily redacted FOR CHRIST'S SAKE?

William Barr to give Thursday press conference on Mueller report - Washington Times

Attorney General William Barr will hold a press conference Thursday morning to discuss the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report. The press conference is scheduled for 9:30 and will include Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

It will be Mr. Barr’s first time fielding questions on the release of the larger, although heavily redacted version of the report. He will be grilled by lawmakers on when he appears before the House and Senate Judiciary committees on May 1 and May 2.

(mine)

Any guesses as to why William Barr feels it's necessary to have a press conference before the release of the heavily redacted Mueller report?

Of course, we all know. To do spin for TRump.

Obviously, even with extensive redaction there is still a need for much spin.

Can you imagine if this report was done fairly and published in full what would happen? Certain impeachment.

Trump has had the advantage of a full partisan "investigation" and he is still struggling with the cover up. Very telling.

He's not Trump's lawyer, HE'S THE LAWYER FOR THE UNITED STATES and all of us Americans. Trump has his own bevy of lawyers. William Barr took an oath to serve the American people, NOT TRUMP.

William Barr should be impeached along with Trump.

Cant you just calm down? You are attacking a report that hasnt been released and a press conference that hasnt been given.

The committees have full investigative powers. They would be MUCH better off running their own investigations but they won't do that because they KNOW the whole thing is a political stunt and they like the idea that they can claim to be non-partisan while trashing Mueller's work. The Democrats have no balls whatsoever and are unwilling to stand behind their own accusations with their own investigation.

Apparently it has been released but only to Trump so far.

White House and Justice Dept. Officials Discussed Mueller Report Before Release - The New York Times

Mark Mazzeti, Nicholas Fandos, Katie Benner and Maggie Haberman of the NYT just reported this story

"White House and Justice officials discussed all of the report before the release. Justice Dept has had numerous conversations with White House lawyers about the special counsel's conclusions in recent days, according to people with knowledge of the discussions. The talks have aided the president's legal team as it prepares a rebuttal to the report and strategize for the coming public war over its findings."

"A sense of paranoia is taking hold among some of Mr. Trump’s aides, some of whom fear his backlash more than the findings themselves, the people said. The report might make clear which of Mr. Trump’s current and former advisers spoke to the special counsel, how much they said and how much damage they did to the president — providing a kind of road map for retaliation."

Here's what I predict the White House strategy will be. They will go on a counter-attack. There will hardly be anyone left that they aren't going to help bring down, even Robert Mueller himself. Obama, Strzok, Page, Comey, Brennan, Clapper - they're all going to be in the line of fire. It's a 'strike back harder' defense plan.

Man...there are so many stupid people walking around acting like they are real people. In case anyone missed it, Mueller isn't dead and none of his team is dead. What this means, for those a little slow of thinking, is that if there is something inaccurate then it will be found out with simple testimony from the innumerable people that worked on the report.

Ya'll just trying to stretch out your debunked fantasy as long as you can. You're in your death throes of this particular conspiracy theory you've been suckered into for over two years now.

Sunken costs. No matter how many times they pull on that one-armed bandit, it ain't coming up triple cherries.

No balls and even less shame.

Huh. That's rather delusional, as the house Dems apparently have enough 'balls' to be investigating him, his businesses and his administration.

Well, well, well...

I can recall conservatives freaking out over the Clinton/Lynch meeting. Wonder how soon we'll be hearing their outrage about this?

Whoa. A bit touchy there, aren't ya? Must be the agony of defeat. Cheer up. Maybe you can another whole new special counsel sometime soon, and resume speculating your ass off.

Gee is anyone at the Whitehouse under investigation like Hillary was? Well I believe that answer would be a NO!

Exactly! And, Donna Brazile had to quit as Democratic strategist because she shared some questions with Hillary Clinton in advance of a debate with Trump. But William Barr OUR U.S. Attorney General, has share the Mueller report with Trump and his attorneys even before members of Congress have seen it!!

That's a comment, not a rebuttal.

Congress needs the unredacted version. Period.

And if even one conservative here means what they say when they speak of "the truth" mattering, they'll join me in that.

How delightfully irrelevant. Well done!

Trump was under investigation for OOJ, and his handpicked man took it upon himself to clear him.

I suggest knowing what you're talking about before talking.

He hand picked Mueller?

He color-coded it so even Leftists can understand. What more do you want?

It better be in one-syllable words, otherwise AOC won't be able to understand it.

What tf does that have to do with what you quoted? To clarify, how does a secret meeting between the AG and the husband of a woman who was under investigation compare at all to a public press conference to go over the release of the Mueller report, something that's been called for since it's completion?

What stupid **** are you going to compare next? A fish and an orange?
