Sending money across borders is becoming cheaper and easier

It could also be a natural born American parent who is sending money to their natural born American child to help pay that child's natural born American spouse's hospital bills for the birth of their little "American Citizen Born Abroad".

And, of course, the tax wouldn't have much effect on the "John Smith All American Eagle & Flag Courier Company" whose employees cross the border several times per day carrying $9,999 in cash (which they will deposit in the Banco de Mexico [Canada] account of Jose O'Rourke's Cash Forwarding Company) each time.

The poster known as Roadvirus is virulently anti-Latin American. That's the only reason he thinks this will only hurt illegal immigrants first. He thinks of this as an attack on them, as opposed to an attack on hard working blue collar Americans who wear MAGA hats because they sure don't send money to anyone abroad. Who else would? It's unthinkable to him that a legal citizen would send money abroad.

That's horrific.

And, of course, no one ever travels over the US/Mexico border with (almost $10,000) cash in their pockets.
