Mueller’s Findings Will Remain Confidential at Least Another Day

Didn't he initially say "this weekend"? So, apparently you'lll have to spend another day hoping and praying and crossing our fingers and toes hoping for a straw to cling to as your dreams circles the bowl.

There are something like a dozen other investigations into Trump and his businesses. And that's to say nothing of the continuing House investigations. As I said, even if the Mueller Report is 650 pages of "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" written over and over again, thinking Trump is in the clear is an act of delusion.

I really doubt that anyone cares if you trust Barr

It really all comes down to whether Barr believes that the public trust is an important factor for the institution of the Department of Justice. As I said, I don't know if I can trust him, but I know he's smart enough to get that anything that seems like a coverup would damage the DOJ's public standing. So the important question here isn't if I...personally...trust Barr, but whether Barr cares about the public trust.

And by the way, I don't need trump supporters telling me that the public trust isn't important to them. To them I say, "Yeah. We know."

I think I heard Swalwell say that Mueller has already been subpoenaed.

Yeah, it's like: 'I'm sorry Mr. Mueller. You didn't get the answer that we wanted, so we are going to put you on the hot seat and get what we want from you'.

You only think that because you heard some talking head on CNN or MSNBC say it. But you should have learned by now that they dont know what they are talking about

I don’t have cable.

I don't know if I can trust Barr, but I never doubted he was super smart. That said, it still seemed super unlikely he was going to have his own report ready as soon as the day after Mueller concluded his investigation.

I guess that means we can expect at least one more day of Republicans celebrating over a report they haven't seen.

The huge hypocrisy being demonstrated in all of this is that if the situation was reversed, and the Obama Administration had allowed a special counsel to be appointed to look into all the scandals of his administration, the Democrats would not be clamoring for the entire report to be made public immediately. Or that Congress get a look at it before President Obama saw it or was briefed on it.

They would suddenly be morally upright, judicially prudent, and statemanlike in their demands that no national secrets or classified information be made public and the sanctity and confidentiality of the grand jury process not be compromised.

Just once I wish we had leaders who were morally straight and actually did their jobs regardless of the circumstances.

I think every hour Trump goes without tweeting victory, right wingers get more and more nervous.

I don't think so ... (grin)

But I can tell you that every hour that goes by without the release left wingers's conspiracies of What-are-they-hiding? is getting more and more hilarious.

Are you aware that you're calling Democrats hypocrites in a fictional scenario?

Or perhaps you don't know what "hypocrite" means?

I know you were just trying to be as stupid as possible for satirical effect, but in truth it doesn't stand out in any meaningful way from the rest of the conservative rhetoric on here.

Well said. Joko may be acting deliberately obtuse but there are those here and elsewhere on the internet who actually believe that rhetoric.

So you don’t think they are prepping spin? Curious.

Why do so many Democrats like you believe that pretending facts don't exist and their fantasy is reality is persuasive to anyone but yourself? In fact, President Obama admitted to obstruction of justice in regards to Russian interference in the election - ordering it both not be investigated and kept secret from the public. Try to hide and divert from that all you like, but that's the fact.

Another fact is after being caught on an open microphone promising Russia "flexibility" after re-election, Obama turned a blind eye to Russia's invasion and taking Crimea and - with the Clinton's blessing after ovr $100,000,000 from Russia - to have 20% of our uranium for Putin to now threaten us with monster nuclear weapons.

It took electing President Trump to impose the sanctions on Russia that Obama refused to do. Since Trump became president, the giving away of European land to Russia has ended, plus President Obama's favorite stepchild - ISIS - has been destroyed.

The USA now has an American president, not an anti-American Russian, Chinese, N. Korean and Iranian stooge as president.

The Democratic Party War On Truth that so many Democrat minions bow to does not make truth "obtuse." Once again, Democrats are lost in their own delusions and mistakenly believe everyone else is too.

Here's a fascinating bit from the article:

One friend of Mr. Trump said that despite his outward good spirits, the president remained anxious about the contents of the report and was concerned that its release was taking longer than he expected.

In recent weeks, Mr. Trump has been canvassing friends and allies for their opinions of Mr. Barr, a long-serving Republican legal hand who was confirmed last month. Mr. Trump, people who have spoken with him said, does not know Mr. Barr well or what to expect from him.

“Do you know Barr?” the president has asked others of his attorney general.

Trump appears to be getting last minute jitters.

Mueller report will just be another chance for democrats to cry foul. They want everything released because they know it cannot by law be released. We sure would like to see all the facts on all the other scandals over the past 10 years. Of course we never will. If God himself told them all was ok and no crime with Trump it wouldn't matter. Hate is what they have.

Trump betrayed the public trust by firing his AG just so he could get one of his own to control the investigation. The demand to see the full, unredacted report is the consequence of that betrayal. If you believed there wouldn't be consequences, you were deluding yourself.

Barr is taking his time getting the spin just right.

Yeah, if Barr wants to magnify fears of a coverup, then cherry picking which parts to release is just the way to do it.

Yeah, got the sarcasm, I just said what I had heard and gave my opinion but, I would not have expected a very different rely from you. I guess those types of replies somehow make you feel enlightened, superior or the like, just comes off elitist smug to me but hey, whatever tickles your fancy. I'm sure you have a good one for this.

You're coming at me awful personally for some reason.

Simple answer: who would like or not like to see the report made public, why or why not?

Me? I'd like to see it made public. It will either expose any wrongdoing or exonerate those wrongly blamed.

Who would not like to see that done?

Well, making the report public would expose the whole truth, whether it's "All the Dems fault" or not. I think it's high time we had those answers.

We know for sure that if it was going to exonerate Trump, he’d be printing copies and handing them out on Pennsylvania Avenue.

I was just looking at this. Supposedly the record for longest silence is 23 hours. I'm assuming the Trump team has full information at this point and is now trying to get their narrative straight. If we don't get a tweet today then tomorrow I think will be very interesting.

I’m sure they begged Trump to not tweet and he realized this was good advice.
