GOP senator says he's fed up with Trump's attacks on McCain

For the record, and this can be proven. John McCain was a Republican for many, many, many more years than Donald Trump was. How ignorant and pathetic that the people who once voted for McCain for POTUS and defended him when he was running to represent the party against Barack Obama now all of a sudden can't stand the man, because Donald Trump couldn't stand him.

That was before we found out he instructed the IRS to audit so many tea party groups that it Bankrupts them. Before he insisted on arming ISIS in Syria, before he singlehandedly saved Obamacare after advocating for its elimination for years and before he took DNC opposition research and spread it to 12 different media outlets.

Coming from gutless swamp hero Trump, McCain is rambo. I have zero tolerance for this behavior from a sitting president. He's entitled to his opinion, but his continued juvenile, puerile, and sickening banter has corroded the office and stained the highest seat in the land with his rectal leakage.

**** Trump. Sickening plebian fool.

Provide documented evidence of the IRS claim, right on down to proof that he instructed them to audit the tea party groups if it bankrupts them.

Then provide documented evidence that McCain spread the Dossier to 12 different media outlets.

Documented evidence.

I think it's glaringly obvious how fragile our POTUS' ego is. He's easily goaded and very reactive with a double standard to boot. He can tweet all sorts of nasty things - true or not - about anyone or anything but when the media does it, they are the enemy of the people? He incites and encourages violence. His emotional intelligence and his self awareness were stunted long ago. I fully expect him to attack policy but he can't just stop there - he makes it personal. He prefers people who weren't captured...great insight from a draft dodging rich kid. Those bone spurs don't seem to be affecting him now, even as a man in his 70s. Yet, no one questions this. I swear, Trump is coated in Vaseline. Do people not realize that when he won the election, we effectively put Wall Street in the White House? His first order of business was corporate tax cuts - not ObamaCare, not the border "crisis".

As I said on the same sort of thread posted in general politics...

More political correctness run amok.

Regardless of how one feels about the late John McCain, what is it that makes him untouchable?
This is all phony outrage coming from the usual haters, and trumped up :bs coming from the old guard, the political class.

Go ahead and give the POTUS a "verbal whipping," you stupid old fool.

Last August, Isakson said on the floor of the Senate that “anybody who in any way tarnishes the reputation of John McCain deserves a whipping.”

There's a huge difference between tarnishing a rep.
and speaking truthfully about things he did wrong.

Political correctness run amok?
I think the notion of not speaking ill of the dead predates that.

McCain is not untouchable, even in death. You voted for Obama, so your consistency is opposing McCain is understandable.

Donald Trump is the President of the United States. I'm curious to hear about another President in history who continuously screamed and complained about a recently deceased lawmaker of his own party. Which other President did it?

This isn't phony outrage. It's idiocy, supporting the filth spewing from the mouth and fingers of that man sitting in the Oval Office.

Good post...

I'll add..

McCain was far from perfect. He was a typical Republican, who occasionally (rarely) voted outside his party which gave him the label of Maverick. Which was overplayed by the media. He did massage the media well, and got better treatment than he deserved.

I was no fan of McCain’s politics, but his service record alone, earns him the respect to be honored. One can criticize some of his decisions, votes or actions. But as a man, a human being…he should not be tarnished in the manner our current POTUS is doing. The office of the POTUS is supposed…no, required, to have more class.

The man who campaigned for repealing and replacing Obamacare, and in the 11th hour vindictively voted against repeal and replace.

Matt Schlapp told Jim Acosta who printed a lie...

Trump loyalist rejects CNN report: Everyone was told John McCain was 'solid' on vote against Obamacare

McCain was for repeal and replace, however the bill he voted against only repealed, there was not then or is there now a replacement.

To repeal with nothing to replace it millions would have lost their health care and our healthcare system would have been thrown into chaos.

McCain put country before party and that is why the deplorables hate him

And you think Trump is any different than the other swamp dwellers? Dont kid yourself

JFR, again, I did not nor would I ever vote for Obama.
Not sure where you got that idea.
Out of protest, I voted for Ron Paul because I saw John McCain as Bush's third term; more of the same.
I did't like that Bush involved us in long and costly Iraq war. I thought with McCain at the reign, it would even be worse.

You missed my point as usual.

Obamacare would have remained in place until there was a replacement.
McCain knew that and so should have you.

What did the "media and democrat's" do to McCain in the 2008 presidential election? During the primaries McCain was the "maverick" the media gushed over the maverick bashing other republican candidates.
But when the general election started Obama vs McCain the "media and democrat's" bashed and slashed him at every turn. They attacked McCain 7/24. Now they are back to liking McCain because they can use him to attack president Trump.
There are some really scummy people (MSM) using McCain in a vile way. They liked McCain before they attacked him and then liked him again!

your point was to defend Trump, just like every other post you make here.

Again you missed the point.
If you can't handle legitimate criticism of McCain, the senator, why are you posting in a political forum?

This is why I call all this new found love of McCain, the politician, nauseating.

All public knowledge reported in the media. The russian Dossier dissimenation to the media just recently verified by court documents.

GOP senator says he's fed up with Trump's attacks on McCain

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Republican senator says that he’s had enough of President Donald Trump’s personal attacks on the late John McCain and that “the country deserves better.”

Johnny Isakson of Georgia is quoted Wednesday as telling The Bulwark conservative news and opinion website that “nothing is more important than the integrity of the country and those who fought and risked their lives for all of us.”
===================================================
McCain was a Navy attack bomber pilot during the Vietnam war, which Trump evaded. McCain & Trump never saw eye to eye, but his continuing criticism of a long dead McCain is beginning to make him look foolish.

Just one? Where are all the other yellow bellied ******s?

Isakson is a very popular senator here in Georgia. Trump is becoming more unpopular. Trump's approval rating has dropped from 52% at the beginning of his presidency down to 44% today. His disapproval has risen from 35% up to 48%. I'd say depending on whom the Democrats select as their nominee, Georgia is very much in play for them in 2020 if Trump runs for reelection.

McCain or no McCain, if Trump is in trouble in Georgia, what does that say for Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan? I don't think many Georgian's are paying much attention to what Trump says about McCain. But I do think Trump's obnoxious and uncouth personality has worn very thin among some folks down here. Add all these unnecessary and ridiculous feuds where Trump comes off looking like a hurt five year old which just had his ego bruised. He's in trouble down here.

Funny how the Left is upset with Trump taking shots at McCain because the guy's dead. Last I checked, the Left had no problem doing this (and still don't) with Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, Andrew Breitbart, Roger Ailes, and the Founding Fathers, just to name a few and all whom are dead. So the outrage the Left has over this isn't even remotely real. They didn't (and still don't) like McCain either because he had an 'R' next to his name. Only time they did respect him was when he went against the Republicans. The things that they ARE outraged about right now are:

-Trump in office, the Republicans in control of the Senate

-Trump's approval numbers are from 45-50% approval

-The national emergency declared at the border

-Howard Schultz running for POTUS

-Trump vetoing the resolution that would block the national emergency

-Israel

-Christians

-Trump

-Republicans

-Conservatives

-Trump

-Pro-lifers

-Guns

-Trump

-The Electoral College

-The US Constitution

-Trump

-Trump

-Trump

-Trump

and

-Trump

Oh, I forgot to mention

-Trump

Pretty sure that cover some of the things out of however many things they're outraged about. By the way, did I forget to say Trump? Because they're outraged over Trump.

My looks like you put a lot of time into the mumbo jumbo.

And the bootlickers turn out en masse to rally 'round the mob boss messiah. Pathetic.
