Rosenstein staying 'a little longer' than anticipated - CNNPolitics

(CNN)Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is planning to stay on at the Justice Department "a little longer" than originally anticipated, according to a Justice official familiar with his thinking.
Initially, he planned to leave in mid-March, but no firm date was ever set and after consulting with Attorney General William Barr, he will now stay in his position a bit longer.
He has not given the White House his two weeks' notice.

No, this is Barr's doing. He's telling Rosenstein "You are staying here until Mueller is done. The Mueller mess is your baby."

It is unclear what the delay means for the Russia probe, which is being led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller. Mueller is widely believed to be close to the end of the investigation, which began May 17, 2017. Several of Mueller’s top prosecutors have returned back to their day jobs at the Justice Department, including two within the past week.

The news is likely to renew calls from Republican lawmakers who have sought public testimony from Rosenstein over his alleged offer to wear a wire during meetings with President Donald Trump. Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe said Rosenstein raised the controversial idea during meetings in May 2017, following the firing of James Comey as FBI director and before Mueller’s appointment.

As long as the Mueller witch hunt is going on and Rosenstein is deputy AG, he's untouchable in the McCabe cabal scandal.

Mueller and Rosenstein aren't going anywhere for a long time. They both know they're the most powerful men in the world. They aren't giving that up.

Nope, he cannot prevent Rosenstein from retiring.

Barr as the AG will be fending off WH demands that potions of the report fall under Executive Privilege which they retained for WH Staffers cooperating with the SP.
AG makes that decision
Court cases on EP will abound
House calling witnesses will be numerous
Lastly - I do not see Barr falling on his sword, when the vast majority of US Citizens want to know WTF went down


Now I can understand that you are not familiar with 420-0 as it was not on the Conservative Treehouse
Knowledge like investments must be diversified

Just a small pushback. Sadly, polling has not been great for the Mueller investigation. A recent poll showed majority of Americans believe the Mueller investigation is a politically motivated witch hunt. Sadly, repeating lies works.

NEW DETAILS: Rosenstein intends to stay at DOJ until the Mueller report drops. Why? A source familiar with the matter tells @PamelaBrownCNN that Rosenstein wants to stay around so he can be the "heat shield," or absorb the punches, if there is fallout from the Mueller report.

House voted 420 to zero on making it public.
Now how many were Republican? They (Republicans) are closer to their CDs and know what people want. Answers. I say this as the Dem vote on this was guaranteed.

Now Barr has spoken to DOJ regs, no mentions of those not indicted.

The people want the facts. Wait and see, but this will blow up if attempts are made to prevent a full report to Congress. From how the SP began to what his team found. And yes leaks will abound

This report and how much is released or not, is all bad news for Trump and the Republican Party

The above is just part of my belief that the US should have a Bi Partisan Committee investigate all of it
(been saying that since Mueller was appointed). BP Committee -Full subpoena powers, ability to see all documents requested, no denials on documents regarding secrecy levels assigned, and the ability to offer immunity, if and only if DOJ agrees to that

BP Committee Report to be made public, including all dissenting opinions from committee members

Now tie all this with SDNY, and the NY AG's investigations into Trump.

Next 2 years, really bad for the Trump Family.

Congress isn't going to release the Mueller report. You might as well get used to that fact.

It doesn't matter as it was a non-binding resolution I believe. Plus it will never leave the senate committee as long as Lindsey Graham has anything to say about it.
