Ex-U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara explains why he considered taping a call with Trum

1/3 of the country is a group of ****ing idiots.....

That makes even less sense than it did before... :lamo
People who believe polls are the fill in the blank idiots.

There's a reason Bharara was fired. He was asked to resign...quite a reasonable and usual request when a new administration takes over...and he refused.

I wish he HAD recorded Trump. Then Trump could put his ass in jail instead of firing him.

You might have that wrong. Trump told him he would continue in his role when he took office, in a meeting after the election in November. He, along with everyone else was asked to resign the day after he refused Trump's phone call. Trump's private attorney is quoted as advising Trump to get rid of him, because Bharara was going to "take him down."

In New York it is legal to tape phone calls....as seen by the Michael Cohen episodes.

Almost all the polls said Trump would never be president...

What's your point?

The average of the top ten polls was amazingly accurate in predicting not only the order of fish between the top two candidate but in the spread between the, In fact, they showed accuracy that was near perfect.

How trustworthy are the polls, more than a year after the 2016 election? | PolitiFact

When the the American Association for Public Opinion Research asked a blue-ribbon panel of polling specialists to critique the industry’s performance in 2016, they found some important oversights and misfires. But the panel also emphasized that, contrary to popular belief, the national polls weren’t that far off.

After interviewing almost a dozen pollsters and experts, here are the key points we learned about how the election influenced polling, and what to look for in the future.

The panel concluded that the national polls, which had Clinton up by about 3 percentage points, were "basically correct," as she won the popular vote by 2 percentage points.

Bharara was fired for one reason; it was because he was ethical and kept to his oath of office and acted ethically.

That's because two different standards are at play, ponder this...*Tweet by Bill Mitchell*

Imagine for a moment that Mueller was investigating Trump and found a secret unsecured server in his basement that Russians had hacked but then Trump bleach bitted to hide the evidence, over 30,000 "personel" emails. Just imagine

Just imagine if Trump said, "Russia if you're listening..."

We don't need to imagine it because Trump did say that. Trump asked and he did receive.

"I love Wikileaks" is another thing Trump said. And you love Trump.

The emails were already "missing" at that point and very likely hacked already. Missing= bleach bit.

You did not care about her corruption so spare me the fauxrage.

Indeed.

Which stands in the direct contrast of Trump who took the oath of office then wiped his ass with it.

No. I don't have it wrong...unless Bharara lied in his tweet.

Preet Bharara, the high-profile Manhattan federal prosecutor, said he was fired from his role as United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York on Saturday.

The move comes, Bharara said via a tweet on Saturday, after he refused to submit a letter of resignation following Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ order to all 46 U.S. Attorney holdovers from Barack Obama’s administration to step down.

“I did not resign. Moments ago I was fired. Being the US Attorney in SDNY will forever be the greatest honor of my professional life,” Bharara tweeted.

Preet Bharara Fired After Refusing Sessions''' Order to Resign | Time

Actually, Trump asked if Bharara would stay on when he was President-Elect...in November 2016.

In November, Bharara met with President Donald Trump following his election. Trump, who was then President-elect, asked Bharara to remain in his role as U.S. Attorney, Bharara told reporters at the time.

“The President-elect asked, presumably because he’s a New Yorker and is aware of the great work that our office has done over the past seven years … whether or not I’d be prepared to stay on” and “I agreed,” Bharara said in November, according to the New York Daily News.

The facts are consistent. Bharara did not resign he was fired. He did not lie.

all the Reagan appointees to the Office of the US Attorney submitted resignations when GHWB took office. BTW the Current USA for the SD, Ohio, the Honorable Benjamin Glassman is still the US attorney even though he replaced the Honorable Carter Stewart in 2015. The pick of Portman, Kasich and Sherrod Brown, Greg Hartman, was a Kasich Appointee and was subjected to benign neglect-plus there was some sort of manufactured alleged scandal. So Glassman, who was top of his class at HLS and Summa Cum Laude at Rice, and an extremely well liked and Competent liberal Democrat, remains as US Attorney more than 2 years into Trump's administration.

Protocol dictated he submit a resignation when the administration changed.

Is it illegal to tape a call from the president in NY?

Lol.

Sent from Trump Plaza's basement using Putin's MacBook.

He was asked to stay by 45. Facts support that. He was asked to remain as one of 45's first appointments.

and when asked to submit a resignation he should. Often times the holdovers are told they can stay until a replacement is vetted.

That wasn't the case here.

We know Trump the president is a stickler on protocol in all things.

Trump's protocol with Comey on Flynn was to "let it go."

Comey observed protocol so it was Comey who got let go. And now Trump is up to his ass in the swamp he created in Washington and the country.

Protocol.
