Ya know...Ive never used a racial slur in my life...even growing up in the south during the 70s. But...Ive seen people snap and say things, including dropping slurs. People that would NEVER have made such comments in other circumstances.

Mind you...I'm no angel. Ive used ALL KINDS of other words. Ive called people assholes. Douchebags. Twats. ****heads. More. Worse. Some on this site. Not sure...I think I might have even called you a few of those things a time or two. But never a racial slur.

Oh...and its ALWAYS been deliberate. I cant even use the excuse of losing my ****. I'm just a sonofabitch sometimes.

Completely nuts. I only listened until 7.11 into the the second 911 call. That was more than enough for me. The way she was speaking to the call taker was just vile. He did a great job staying so calm when she started on him. What a horrible woman.

I couldnt agree more . . . .any super small sliver of her maybe having a horrible day or being off her game or this being one extreme example of somethign that never happens with this lady instantly disappeared when i heard her address 911 workers they was she did . . .she is repulsive.

I dont use it because its not a part of my vocabulary. I grew up in a ****ty set of circumstances in the south. I lived with black folk. I lived with white folk. As bad as things were in some of the places I lived we never had a problem together til outside agencies and grown ups told us we were supposed to hate each other. We got along great til the school district split us up by bussing some of us to majority black schools and some of my friends to majority white schools. It was stupid and unhealthy.

Race is to me about the stupidest thing on the planet. Literally could not give a damn about someones race. If I'm going to bother making a derogatory comment to someone, it wont be because their skin color or nationality...it will be because they are a douchebag. Or an asshole. or whatever.

So no...'self control' doesnt really enter into it because there is nothing to control. But you do make a point and its what I said earlier which you choose to make youre initially snarky comment on. SOMETIMES...people DO lose control. And when they do...there is no telling what might slip out of there mouth. Sometimes its a slur. Sometimes its just garbled language that doesnt make sense. Sometimes people that dont cuss...like..at all...go on 4 letter F bomb laden-ed tirades. Because in the moment...when people lose control...sometimes they say really stupid and out of the ordinary things.

I watch the videos...several of them. Make no mistake...momma has a potty mouth. but there were several other exchanges that occurred that escalated the problem. The man in question swung at her, knocking the phone out of her hand. That launched a new round of insults. Then, after she spat on the floor, he spat on her, starting WW3. I thnk its sad that supposedly responsible adults act like thugs. That lady did her kids and herself a disservice.

She was involuntarily hospitalized for this, and her children are now staying with relatives.

i said that like 3 times in this thread, if the video in the store wasnt enough the 911 phone calls sealed it for me.

while i know nutcases like her exist, unfortunately ive seen them in real life and i almost hope she has a major mental issue or like a brain tumor that kind of explain her vile disgusting actions. I hoped it wasnt just a terrible, pure evil, waste of a person but a person with a problem that could be fixed or with an explanation as to why she is broken beside pure ignorance. And i was very happy people seemed to focus on that especially helping her kids. That was a huge concern and now they are much much safer.

Well here it is, here is SOME info saying she was in fact involuntarily hospitalized. Its still a terrible situation for them, seeing a parent act that vile and insane but i am so happy for those kids that they are safer for now and others care to look after them.
