CNN anchor hits Trump: He didn't go to Vietnam 'until he was in his 70s' with 'Secret Service protec

In 1940, Kennedy attempted to enter the army's Officer Candidate School, but was medically disqualified due to his chronic lower back problems. He exercised for months to straighten his back. On September 24, 1941, with the help of the director of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)—who was the former naval attaché to Joseph Kennedy—Kennedy joined the United States Naval Reserve.

President Kennedy was was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal and the Purple Heart Medal.

When later asked how he became a war hero, Kennedy joked: "It was easy. They cut my PT boat in half."

[Obviously Mr. Trump wouldn't have liked him because any captain that loses his ship is NOT the type of person to be admired.]

President Johnson was a LTCdr in the USN during WWII.

PS - Did you know that there were actually wars that the US was engaged in between "The Civil War" and "The Vietnam War"?

That wasn't the question I was answering. And yes I know about them. My parents had to live through one under Hitler.

lol...I think the fact that you see condemning white supremacy as requiring caving to "mob pressure" is part of the problem here.

Trump has condemned white supremacy. Trump is not going to cave to pressure from radicals on the left.

Trump should have took Nathan Phillips with him.Phillips would have loved to see Vietnam too.

What's True

Native American activist Nathan Phillips said he served in the U.S. Marines and told news outlets that he was a "Vietnam-times" or "Vietnam-era" veteran.

What's False

Contrary to what multiple news reports initially stated, Nathan Phillips was not deployed to Vietnam at any time during his military service.

mob boss cultists are foreign to the truth

Speaking of hypocrisy! Why haven't any of you condemned the attacks of Christians in Africa by muslims?

I have posted a clear condemnation of Islamic extremism in some of my posts

I also have not posted any condemnation of the Muslim persecution in Rohingya.

Rohingya still fleeing violence, persecution in Myanmar: U.N. rights boss | Reuters

Obviously, people's (and my) comments are based on the topic of a thread.

Now, I will not ask you to show me that you have condemned every recorded case of bigotry by anybody in the world against innocent Muslim civilians. Unlike you, I am reasonable. So, I will ask you to show us any condemnation of yours of actions targeting innocent Muslim civilians somewhere in the world!

LOL

Trump condemns white supremacists only after he feels bipartisan pressure from decent citizens. Trump's first reaction is to find excuses not to condemn white supremacists.

Here is a video with Trump refusing to condemn David Duke after the latter endorsed Trump before the 2016 elections. Trump's "excuse" was that he did not know anything about David Duke and white supremacists...

Here is an older video of Trump in 2000 revealing that he knows very well who David Duke and that he is a biggot and a racist

If most conservatives adopt your attitude thinking that it is too "radical" to demand from a president to condemn white supremacy, Trump will simply follow his natural instinct of seeking any possible and unethical way to secure a few more votes from the extremist right in order to maximize his chances for winning!

Trump condemns white supremacists just because of bipartisan pressure. Trump wants to find excuses not to condemn but he couldn't

Nine out of 10- or very bad things which hurts this nation and our people.

The positive one - fighting Isis in the Middle East - was attained by others- not Trump.

Wow, so things that have brought this nation out of the never ending blah nature of the Obama presidency economically, put more in families pockets, raised wages, and made it easier to start, and be successful at starting a business are in your mind "bad for the country".... So, I guess we can put you down as one of those hoping America fails....

Can you subtract 26 from 101?

It would clearly be a wise move on his part not to condemn white supremacists if they were a big part of his base. Obviously they are not! Even if he did condemn them do you really think they would vote Democrat? Trump isn't going to cave to this mob pressure to condemn or apologize.
Trump seems to refuse to condemn white supremacists. This from the gut who went crazy claiming Obama refused to say "Islamic terrorists."

Did President Kennedy or Johnson ever go to Vietnam?

Oh wait, are you asking if either of them VISITED Vietnam.
The answer is YES, both of them did.
I thought initially you were questioning their military service.

Either way, your post is never going to be topped in this thread for tone-deaf ignorance.
I don't even think Gulfman can sink lower...of course the day is still young yet...so maybe.

While you guy's argue about meaningless statistics I will focus on the bottom line. Trump gets things done. This country is getting back to it's greatness.

As long as people like you get to decide that Trump's actions equal "greatness", the definition of that word will remain suspect.
It's like when armed domestic terrorists get to define "patriot", or when anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorists get to define "healthcare".
