McCabe said in his Congressional testimony the dossier was key in obtaining the FISA warrant. Without it , he claimed, there would have been no warrant.

Regardless of how one feels about John McCain, the man, the long time senator who reached across the aisle to Democrats, a decorated war hero, a beloved father and husband, friend of many, I knew his hands were dirty when it came to the dossier and he lied about being involved in releasing an UNVERIFIED dossier to the media.

IMO, Trump's remarks about McCain not being a hero fueled McCain's vindictiveness. What a petty, false equivalency on McCain's part to give an unverified dossier about a sitting president to the media. Was he consumed with sour grapes or what?

I was not a big fan of McCain during his presidential run. ("Drill, baby, drill!"-- Really?) But I find it interesting that the Left makes so little of these sort of "dirty tricks" while working themselves into a lather every time Trump supposedly "obstructs justice" by expressing scorn for his opponents.

As long as you remember that "The Rule" is


If a member of the other political side does "X", then that is completely unacceptable and they should be sent to jail, but if a member of the same political side does (the same) "X", then that is quite acceptable because the other political side also does "X" (and besides "That's DIFFERENT!!!").
