Many Dead in New Zealand Mosque Shooting

The problem with that is giving it attention is what these mass-murderers want. Fame and notoriety is the primary motivator of these mass-murderers. They want their names splashed across every headline. They want their work to be displayed. They are the ultimate narcissistic parasites. And doing so may very well increase the likelihood of copycat killers. If we make a concerted effort not to give them what they want, we may be able to lower the incident rates of such horrible violent acts in the future.

With all due respect, there isn't enough public knowledge of those who perpetrated this horror to say anything about them. Let's wait until we actually know what happened and why before we start chewing each other up, okay?

This attack seems off somehow. If they have explosives why are they saving them? Why were they not used initially, at the very least some of them. If these people were sophisticated enough to have a cell, explosives, firearms, and coordination, why did this attack fail?

It didn't fail; there are a lot of dead and wounded. We won't know why the explosives weren't used until an investigation is completed, which will take time. Perhaps the NZ police were there faster than the perpetrators thought they'd be, or perhaps the explosives were duds because of inexperience or incompetence of the perpetrators... and thank god for small favors.

I know this, but I oppose the attitude of the poster who tries to make the case that "it does not make a difference" because such shooters are just nuts or crazy...

There's a difference between not sanitizing an event and looking for more clicks to profit off the brutal deaths of others.

Don't attach the name of the killer just display their evil. Hiding evil does know one any good. People should know what it is they face so they are motivated to take the personal precautions necessary to defend themselves against this sort of evil.

Copycats exist regardless of the amount of media.
 
Spreading lies like WHITE GENOCIDE, REPLACEMENT THEORY, MASS DEPORTATION is all a slippery slope to violence. If you think there is some Talmudist or Muslim plot to destroy the Christian West, then of course that will motivate you to view the world in an unbelievably dark way and this is why Stephan Molyneux and Lauren Southern were barred from spreading their hate in the country.

When one has explosives and firearms at their disposal, explosives are usually the lead weapon as they are used to create chaos amongst the victims to sow confusion wound maim and incapacitate many as possible in a single instance. The firearms are then used to follow through to exploit the disruption dislocation and destruction. Think of your typical tactical teams and how they operate. They almost always use breaching charges and or flash bangs and or gas as they enter a house or engage targets that are in a building or under cover or even in the open. Something is off. If they had explosives, their attack failed and miserably at that. If it was just one person I might not think so because they could be a nutjob. More than one was involved in this. It was coordinated. This attack failed, at least in tactical terms.

And where's the concern for his mental health? Remember the popular theory amongst liberals and neocons that said Islamic terrorists were not really Muslims at all, but rather mentally ill individuals who deserved to have their complex histories and lives disected for clues of mental illness. The Pulse Nightclub shooter was thus not a true religious extremist, but rather someone failed by our inability to integrate him, the Bastille Day terrorist was not a 'real' Muslim, just a troubled man who needs lots of sympathy, and perhaps a cup of hot coco.

Muslims are gracious and kind and forgiving as we speak.

And we dont want to see the videos circulating because we dont want to see people we know being executed. This is a small place and we know people in these little places. I will undoubtedly know someone involved in some manner as will other one or two posters here at DP from New Zealand.

It certainly looks like these were Right wing nut jobs. They have taken Islamicphobia to the next level. It is all over the news here in Saudi Arabia. Friday is the Muslim holy day, these Righties knew what they were doing, disgusting.

The shooter in the Pulse nightclub was a closet gay filled with self hatred. A very conflicted young man.
