Yep. When I vote in the next presidential election my thought process will be one of mere triage. I have no illusions that that the Democratic party will do great things. I just want to stop the "bleeding" for a bit. Once that is done I can maybe go back to voting my conscience, which rarely involves voting for one of the two major parties.
 
We all supposed to believe that the military will join up with the cops... And then bikers... To confront .... "The left"?

I mean... just... WTF... what is he thinking? It does sound like he wants violence or wants to encourage it. I really don't know how or why Trump thinks this is a good idea or makes sense. If his supporters go out and rally, and try to look tough and intimidate, and violence erupts... does Trump really think he will gain? Does Trump really think that that is going to help is political goals like getting his wall funding?

That makes no sense.

Part of me thinks, maybe Trump is listening to way too many crazy people who want a Civil War or something.

I am trying to make sense of his comments, maybe you are on to something... If Trump encourages violence in face of a election loss, that wouldn't be surprise, actually. It would totally disgusting and psycho, but not surprising.

I'm reminded of fights in the neighborhood growing up. Often there was an a-hole cheering the fight on but never threw a punch. That's Trump in this scenario. Saying something like this is idiotic if we expect a president to be a representative of the entire country. He's doing the usual riling of the base, and should something bad actually happen we can bet he'll claim he never meant anything to happen. It's the cowardly way to fight your battles.

I definitely agree that Trump only cares about himself. I just don't know what Trump or his supporters except. Are they just going to show up and march and rally with weapons and firearms, because they can open carry and rally. If Antifa shows up, it could be a mess again, but what's the point. It's just going to look like Charlottesville, and hopefully police will respond better if it happened again.

Marching and rallying isn't going to cause any change, so what, then, up the ante to attack innocent people and commit terror acts? Because I really don't see how just going into the streets with guns is going to cause anything other than getting arrested.

Many people are predicting that Trump will not step down, and he will try to seize power. From Trump's POV, an uprising of his supporters could protect him. If it allowed him to remain in office indefinitely and never face legal consequences, then that does serve him. Some of his supporters are also crazy enough to believe it, and want a revolution protecting Trump. I really don't think it would happen though. Trump is insane if he is calling for such a event to happen in America.

The worst scenario would be a Trump loss in a very narrow election. Then we can look forward to him not going peacefully.

I am getting sick of hearing his supporters say, "yeah, he is crass, and I don't like his personality... but...". No. The things Trump says and supports crosses a serious line. He promoted violence at his rallies, and now he is promoting political violence. Hold him accountable, and stop making excuses for him. The man is a serious danger to our government.

Yes, I know. He is such a idiot and a liar. His economic policies are going to eventually start hurting the US really bad, and it will be undeniable. He will try to lie his way out of it and blame everybody else, but sooner or later, something will catch up with him. He will either lose his election and reveal himself in the face of an election loss, or he will win reelection and be given four more years to screw up the global economy and stretch the branches to the breaking point. He will damage our nation and alliances if reelected.

In either scenario, he is not going to look like the brilliant savior he pretends to be. He will be revealed a demagogue and a conman he really is.
