Lawmakers clash over Trump’s talks with Whitaker - POLITICO

Lawmakers clash over Trump’s talks with Whitaker

Former Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker told the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday that he was involved in conversations about the Justice Department’s investigation into President Donald Trump’s former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen, according to the panel’s chairman, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.).

But the Republican side of the committee gave vastly different accounts of what happened behind closed doors. Whitaker discussed the scope of the investigation in addition to the recusal of Geoffrey Berman, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, Nadler told reporters after meeting privately with Whitaker.

Matthew Whitaker can possibly be in a heap of trouble if it's proven that he lied to Congress denying any conversations between himself and Trump about the ongoing investigations in the SDNY and denied ever speaking to Trump about Michael Cohen.

So...it's the Dem House member's word against the Rep House member's word. Take your pick, y'all. Me? I won't believe either of them until I see the transcript. They all love to spin.

Whitaker just became a witness against Trump in the investigation of obstruction of justice. How about that.

As for whether to believe Democrats or Republicans, I feel it's best to just quote Michael Cohen on this:

“Everybody’s job at the Trump Organization is to protect Mr. Trump. Every day most of us knew we were coming and we were going to lie for him about something. That became the norm.”

“I did the same thing that you’re doing now for 10 years. I protected Mr. Trump for 10 years. I can only warn people, the more people that follow Mr. Trump as I did blindly are going to suffer the same consequences that I’m suffering.”

Republicans in Congress and America's trump supporters have taken it upon themselves to adopt the roles expected of the Trump Organization's employees.

Did you have a problem with the Tarmac Meeting? If so, the meeting between Whitaker and Trump was the Tarmac Meeting on a methamphetamine/cocaine/caffeine/LSD cocktail.

It's not desperation, it's known as 'hope'. We are encouraged and hopeful that this rogue, unqualified mobster will soon be exposed for the thuggish, racketeering mob boss he is.

Yeah.... no... stern no.. or a very thick "No" to be precise.

We've had three years of the left figuratively and in some cases, literally. Losing their **** with calculated burst of "Trump derangement syndrome" and we're pretty tired of all of this stupidity at this point.

The majority of you people can be considered a circular firing and that designation has been viable for over two years now.
