Pelosi never called for impeachment. A very few handful of Democrats did. Just like what happened in the past when some Republicans called for Obama's impeachment and a handful of Democrats called for Bush's impeachment.

Don't make things up that are not true. Tom Steyer is not the Democratic Party. He is as free to call for impeachment as Trump was to claim that Obama was born in Kenya. He's a private citizen.

The only thing non-progressives and even some progressives have said is that there is not adequate evidence to impeach the president. Even pelosi is admitting it. The ones who are trying their hardest to dig something up to justify impeaching Trump is the uber left crowd.

It will be interesting to watch them whine and moan when the next democrat president spends his entire presidency having him and everyone has associated with him being investigated searching for a crime to impeach.

I hope all of you are comfortable with this communist like standard now set when it does not suit your agenda.

I don't believe that. I think if evidence was presented supporting the original witch hunt they would impeach. I am glad that they are not willing to impeach over a fishing expedition with nothing to support this calamity we have had to endure for the past 2 years. Pelosi has surprised me by allowing intelligence to make her decision rather than bias hate.

As far as I'm concerned, most of these "sourpusses" don't even know what this is really all about.
Why did the political elite and their attack dogs in the media, go after an elected POTUS?

What did he do or say, that made them so angry? Was it the ***** Grabbing thing? Probably not. Crooked Hilary? Doubtful. His drop-dead gorgeous wife? No.

IMO...It was that Donald Trump, early in his campaign, made it known that he was going to fight against further globalization.
THAT'S what got the powerful elite all frigged up. The rest is just window dressing and tactics.
The GOAL is to stop this assault on globalism, because its working and the powerful elite can't afford to let the commoners realize how really BAD globalism has been for the USA and indeed, most western nations.

I never claimed that she has called for impeachment. I said she would if she didnt think it would be politically damaging to her party. Why you keep doubling down on your lie about what i said is bizarre.

pelosi is trying to control the leftists in her party from going nutso more so than what they already are.
as a few in her party are gearing up for impeachment documents.

she is trying to get out in front of it. as with the house they can't table things like the senate.
if impeachment vote is called it can get stuffed back into committee but it is hard to do and
dem's still have to vote on it.

with all of them going off on the impeach impeach impeach forcing them to stuff an impeachment proceeding
back into committee where it would die would be a huge loss for them.

It means they simply do not have the evidence to support such a proceeding and trump could 100% come out
after that and say that it is nothing more than a political hit job.

Pelosi is trying to prevent that from happening.

I have a similar opinion but from a slightly different angle.
I've heard it said many times on this thread and elsewhere that Trump is a con man etc..
The complaints focus on his personality traits, some of which I don't much care for either.
But my different angle is that I don't care how much of a con man he might be as long as he will enact policies that you mentioned and that I agree with ... even if he hasn't always supported them.
He'll lose my support when/if he stops.

What we have is an opposition that can't be honest about what they really object to (they can't very well say outright that they object to USA autonomy or preservation of personal rights) so they resort to personal attacks on anyone who holds opposing positions.

Rules 5, 8, and 12 help them move that along.

No, all of us haven't. If evidence is found that he did something absolutely serious enough to deserve impeachment, then sure bring it on. But it should be done with support from both sides, otherwise it is futile and damages the Dems (whether fairly or not) more than it does the Repubs. Might as well keep the high road unless you have absolutely damning evidence. This is also why it would be completely stupid for the Fed to go after any Democrats (whether in office or not) for "crimes" that most would consider small. This would make the Repubs look really bad and any conviction that was made with circumstantial or questionable evidence will easily be thrown in the face of Repubs who supported such things as partisanship efforts against the opposing party, not any sort of true quest for justice.

The Dems are less than 2 years from another presidential election.

Their party is being led by Ocacio-Cortez, Oman, and Tlaib, and they're running it into the ground.

They have no message to run on at all.

The ollusion nonsense is over.

The impeachment nonsense is over.

Kavanaugh happened. Covington happened. Smollett happened.

Cohen woefully disappointed.

People are past it. They're rolling their eyes.

And it looks like socialism is going to win their nomination behind an Independent corpse as be their candidate.

Who admittedly LOVES Russia and everything about it.

First, Trump somehow beat them. And now Bernie is about to take their party hostage.

Pelosi doesn't know what to do.
