Ex-Fox News executive Bill Shine out at the White House

Source: (CNN) Ex-Fox News executive Bill Shine out at the White House

Trump spent months wooing Shine into the White House, and now a little over seven months later he makes an abrupt departure.

Shine was largely responsible for the messaging during the mid-terms and the shutdown. I can't help but believe that played a role in today's news.

Odd, this was in your first quote box...."Bill Shine has stepped down to join the Trump campaign"... But instead of taking that at face value I understand it is much more useful to create some dramatic narrative of strife...

I really thought you were above this sort of thing Chomsky.

If you haven't read Jane Meyer's piece on the Fox/Trump connection, look it up. I have trouble imagining what this crony capitalist admin. will do next, and I can be pretty cynically imaginative.

And that quote is accurate. Did you read the rest of the article? Your comment seems to imply you didn't.

For a guy that attempted to sell himself as this great businessman; a builder of great organizations, he is a pathetic at recruiting and cultivating managerial talent. Those that aren't headed for prison are getting dizzy from spins in the revolving door at the White House.

Bill Shine Resigns as White House Message Chief - The New York Times

We have never had this much turnover at 1400 Pennsylvania. Unfortunately for us all, each change in "talent" is a downgrade from before. His staff of "B" players has been turned over and replaced by "C" players, who are now being swapped out for "D" players.

So much winning...

Um, I thought it was "....so much whining..."?

I agree. We've generally had a proper Fourth Estate in this country, helping ensure the democratic process. Now for the first time in my lifetime, we essentially are developing a government propaganda network.

Bill Shine is the latest in a long line of people who have either quit or been fired in this position. I cannot help but think that Mr. Trump has something to hide that is damaging to him, his office, and the American people.

the truth

and shine was unable to hide that. like those who came before him

By moving him to the campaign, Trump can ensure that Shine, subject to a NDA, doesn't share any of what transpired during his tenure at the White House.

Duh.

federal employee cannot be made subject to a non-government issued NDA
but probably an expensive proposition to litigate

1600 Pennsy's been quite the trip, too! :2razz:

yea Chomsky, why don't you accept the lies of the tRump administration at face value
bailiff, take away his MAGA hat!

Trump hires the best people.

.... sometimes he hires competent people ... and then when they can't make gold out of Trump's incessant volcano of feces somehow that's their fault, so they're shuffled off "to work on his campaign".

yes, my bad. It is 1600, not 1400. Thanks for the fact check.

Just trying to help you out, for next time.

BTW, we had to memorize that address when I was a little kid in Grammar School!

I know the address. It was just a brain fart....

Shine got his fat ass fired...Deal with it......Maybe time to blame Obama to cover for this fiasco

Thank you. Glad you beat me to posting the above. "Eww, Shine must have been fired!" "Trump hires only the best!" "Shine must know Trump is a crook" whaaa, whaaa, whaa and more whaaaaa :boohoo:
Don't you just love all the deranged propaganda and fake news being contributed to this thread?

Not sure why but they are really at a fever pitch today..... Squealing loud and long! ;)
You would think they would check a few other sources before going on a stupid tangent
but it happens every day here at DP? That is what extreme hate trump will do to you.

the reality is that tRump is still needing someone in his administration's communications office who excels at polishing turds
to tRump's unrealistic expectations

The cons will mostly say that's because all of the other media has always been "librul" (Clinton News Network, etc.) but this is another animal. Rather disconcerting, to say the least.

No one in the government or media is without a political opinion. It's when that opinion drives behavior that it becomes a problem. Fox is a conservative network - it was designed for the people who consume WWE/NASCAR/NFL. That's fine. A revolving door and collusion between any WH and a biased-by-design media corporation is not.

Trump is either to depraved or too stupid to care. Ordering the DOJ to deep six a merger because it would be bad for Rupie and good for CNN is inexcusable. Trump is a friendless, amoral rat that lashes out at anyone who doesn't suck up to him, and who will (when it will further benefit him) break norms and rules to benefit the suck-ups.

When you're at the extreme right as American conservatives appear to be, out where there be fascism, everything looks "librul".

In Canada it was the Conservatives who legalized gay marriage. That really highlights just how far to the right the USA has moved.

whaaa, whaaa, whaa and more whaaaaa :boohoo:

I'm not surprised the strain of having to come up with something to say in every thread about Trump is getting to you. Must be tough running all that interference.

What about SHS? She's fundamental Christian, and they lie better than anyone imo.

Shine was the idiot behind the failed messages during the midterms and shutdown? Like those skeery caravans and all that? He'll be perfect on Trump's campaign team. He knows how to pander to the idiots in Trump's base.

It's a counterbalance to what extreme Trump love does to you. Your crush on the man has made your posts incredibly stupid through the years.

Trump hires the best people.

Bill Shine was the 6th in the line of 'best people' he hired so far. These people should just set up their office next to the exit door. Nobody is going to be able to change the messaging for Trump and 'gild the lily' so the messages won't be so horrible. It's just not possible because Trump keeps sending the wrong messages. If he was a better president, and a smarter one, he would have figured that out by now. But, he's not a good president and he's not smart. He'll continue to shoot himself in the foot and expect his communication director to make it into a story about how a democrat shot him in the foot.

Who's batter up now, any guesses? I would guess Sean Hannity but he's being paid so much money by Fox to keep the Trump Train chugging along that I don't think Fox will want to give him up for a ****ty job in the White House.
