Trump claims Cohen hearing may have hurt North Korea summit

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is suggesting that a congressional hearing Democrats arranged with his former personal attorney may have contributed to his failure to reach a summit deal with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Trump left his summit in Vietnam with the North Korean leader last week without reaching an agreement after Trump said he wasn’t willing to give in to Kim’s demand to lift U.S. sanctions at this time. He lashed out at Democrats in a tweet on Sunday, criticizing their decision to hold the hearing featuring his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, while he was overseas.

Trump's summit failure was due to his cockiness & the lack of advance preparation by his staff. These types of summits are usually set in place before the final meeting. This one wasn't. Now he's looking for someone to blame for his poor performance.

We all know that if the Summit failed without the Cohen hearing he would have been blaming Fake News.:doh

Trump has not REALLY accepted responsibility for failures in his life.

That being said....I do not think harshly of the "failed" Summit. It is a process. But frankly the part of it that makes it SEEM like a failure is that he keeps blathering on about how successful things will be because he is the great dealmaker. So when something fails ...it seems WAY worse.
 
Parents were out of town on business.

Bratty kids throw a party and brought in a toothless hag stripper named cohen.

Cops were called and had to call parents interrupting a major deal.

Left a huge mess for parents to sweep up when they get home.

The NORK summits were complete failures. The NORKs will never denuclearize. The Trump people are living in a bubble of illusion. NO NOBEL PEACE PRIZE FOR YOU!
 
I'm sad the peace talks fell through and I don't blame Trump. I blame Bolton and Pompeo. And, I guess, yeah, I blame Trump too for hiring those ****wits.
 
I'm not sure how the Cohen testimony had any relevance to the discussions with the North Koreans; at least from a negotiations perspective. What the North Koreans brought to the table was worked out well before the meeting, so the only only area I think there's any relevance is in terms of coverage. Either way nothing really came of the meeting, and the testimony didn't create any bombshells which would have affected what the North Koreans presented.
