That's right, the scope of the Judiciary Committee isn't limited to crimes. The Special Prosecutor and the Justice Department are investigating whether Trump and Co. committed crimes -- acts defined in the criminal code.
And now that it appears, at least in the rumors circulating around, that Muller's report may fall short of implicating Trump in any of what you hoped, dreamed, and hatched all your chickens for, Nadler, Schiff, and the rest of the clown show in the house are moving to the Lavrentiy Beria phase of their push to remove Trump right? "Find me the man, and I'll show you the crime"? That is outrageous, and the American people won't stand for it....
The House Judiciary Committee has a much broader mandate -- investigate whether the president committed wrongdoing that was or wasn't a crime. As an example, Nixon's articles of impeachment included many items, such as abuse of power, that isn't in the criminal code.
Who said they didn't? Don't preach to me about Nixon, I was around when that was going on, many here weren't....Trump is no Nixon...Nixon's impeachment, which never happened because he resigned before that could take place, was caught up in his own malfeasance while sitting in the Oval office..With Trump, this is a fishing expedition launched to go back as far as needed to find any little morsel to chew on...It is a harassment campaign, and it should be beneath any party looking to win an election. However, the Democrats know damned well that they don't have anything that excites Americans about their platform of Socialism that they know would destroy this Nation...So, they will instead use their majority in the house to smear...Democrats are detestable little pricks.
With respect to Trump, it's proper for the Judiciary Committee to investigate whether Trump used his power for personal enrichment in violation of the emoluments clause of the Constitution -- which doesn't violate the criminal code.
Let's see how much you know about the Presidency...Is it proscribed by the Constitution that a President relinquish all of his businesses to hold the office?
Moreover, Trump ordering his son-in-law Jared Kushner to be given a top-secret security clearance over the objections of the White House counsel and his intelligence advisers, may also constitute another abuse of power that isn't illegal.
Any other President doing this and you'd have no problem with it. If it were a Democrat, even better, you'd argue that they could...You can't strip the powers of the Presidency just because you hate the man elected...That's not how it works.
Using the Justice Department to cause retribution on CNN by personally asked a top White House aide to make sure the Justice Department stopped AT&T from purchasing Time Warner, is an abuse of power.
You sure didn't have a problem when Obama ordered his Justice Dept. to investigate, and tap reporters he didn't agree with....Seems your outrage against "abuse of power" is selective...
Chairman Nadler said that crimes and impeachable offenses are "two different things."
Yep, and Nadler is a slime ball that should be investigated himself....Like I said, Democrats are worthy of contempt.
