Your post is not a rebuttal. Any one of a number of Rosenstein's precisely worded comments would be a justification for termination.

THAT IS NOT THE POINT.


"justification for termination" is not the point, what Rosenstein ACTUALLY WROTE, is the point.

I repeat: Rosenstein was miffed that his memo was used as a justification for Comey's firing.

That proves he absolutely DID NOT RECOMMEND Comey to be fired.

Rosenstein did not want to write memo justifying Comey firing – new book | US news | The Guardian


That is my only point.

It doesn't matter what Rosenstein claims about his letter after the fact. His letter was a summation of Comey's conduct, and Rosenstein understood the letter's purpose. Rosenstein was not coerced to produce the letter.

If I procure, clean, and load a pistol - then hand it to another who shoots someone, I'm an accessory to the crime. I can claim I didn't intend that outcome until the cows come home, but It's clear by my acts that such an outcome was considered before the shooting or I would not have provided a firearm.

That was Andrew McCabe's book.
McCabe also said Rosenstein wasn't kidding about wearing a wire to record Trump.
Rosenestein said he was kidding.
McCabe was fired because he had “had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor — including under oath — on multiple occasions.”.

Given those few examples, how could you possibly decide who to believe unless it's a selective thing based on what not who?

In the letter he clearly warned about firing Comey.


When veiwing this in it's entirety, Rosenstein's comments after Trump fired Comey then asserted he was just following Rosenstein's recommendation, resulting in Rosenstein being miffed that Trump had done this, One clearly gets the idea that he did not want Comey fired, and, additionally, espeically when it is notable that in the memo Rosenstein warns about firing Comey.

Trump has a bad habit of blaming others for his decisions that later turn out to not be very popular with the majority. With that letter, he can now just say he was following Rosenstein's recommendation. GET THIS STRAIGHT, ROSENSTEIN DID NOT RECOMMEND COMEY TO BE FIRED, HE IN FACT WARNED ABOUT FIRING HIM. Trump does this in an attempt to deflect attention away from his corrupt intent, which is his putting roadblocks into the path of the investigation against him/his campaign and possible russian ties/ his entanglements, etc.

When viewing the overall circumstance surrounding the letter there is no other proper conclusion to reach; Trump's assertion that he was following Comey's recommendation, on it's face, is a flat out lie.

The entire purpose of the letter was to spell out the justification for Comey's termination. Rosenstein understood that - or are you contending that he wasn't bright enough to understand the latter's purpose?
