Manafort Found to Have Lied to Prosecutors While Under a Cooperation Agreement


WASHINGTON — A federal judge ruled on Wednesday that Paul Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign chairman, repeatedly lied to prosecutors after he agreed to cooperate with the special counsel’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.

Prosecutors have said that the associate, Konstantin V. Kilimnik, has ties to Russian intelligence services. The judge also found that Mr. Manafort had lied about a payment that was routed through a pro-Trump political action committee to cover his legal bills, and about information relevant to another undisclosed investigation underway at the Justice Department.[

At the meeting, Aug. 2, 2016, discussions of "a peace plan" in the Ukraine -- which means Russia controlling the Ukraine. We also know that Manafort turned over polling data to the Russians. Anyone who denies that there was a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians to affect the 2016 election,has to bend over backwards to do so. People who have nothing to hide don't lie at every turn.

Or observe that not only has Mr. Mueller stubbornly refused to indict anyone for his or her role in such a conspiracy, he has also explained in indictments he has secured, that there was no conspiracy.
 
Well since the investigations have turned up no evidence of Russia/Trump collusion, perhaps it is time to call out the mainstream media for its idiotic lies. All of it was a lie from the beginning. There is no evidence because it was all a lie.

What I want to know is: if Trump is an innocent (as his cult believes) clueless idiot (as the rest of the world believes) how did all these criminals end up in his pocket? I'm working on a new theory that he only plays a clueless idiot on TV.

We have no clue and never will know what the investigation has found.

A president cannot be indicted. So all this is really a waste of time except that it made obvious by association that Trump is the dirtiest mother ****er to ever come to Washington.

If Trump were not President this investigation would have already landed him in jail. .

For an even quicker summary: Kilimnik offered to meet with Manafort and the meeting that occurred was the one at the Grand Havana Room. Apparently, Gates and Manafort printed something for the meeting, which is probably the polling data...

Trump never said anything racist. Yet he is a racist. Trump never did anything illegal, but he is a criminal. Truth is, Trump is guilty of the one crime the left now hates more than anything, he is a straight white male.

Actually, the judge says "no" to that but you'd need to read more than the headline to tell.

Judge Jackson ruled in Mr. Manafort’s favor on two issues. She decided that prosecutors had failed to prove their assertion that Mr. Manafort had deceived them about Mr. Kilimnik’s role in a conspiracy to obstruct justice to which Mr. Manafort pleaded guilty. And she decided that the prosecutors failed to establish that Mr. Manafort had lied about later contacts with Trump administration officials.
