AP FACT CHECK: Trump taps false stereotypes about immigrants

This thread really belongs in the Partisan section of the forum.
Trump rails against ILLEGAL immigrants and I agree with him.
Illegal immigrants drive down wages, drive up crime and worse, carry once eradicated and potentially diseases accross our border.

And the most damaging effect is that it encourages even more to follow.

She wolf in all fairness let me pose the "Asylum Invaders" debate points.

1) It is FACT by statistics that 70% of ALL asylum seekers cases are Denied.
2) It is fact that ALL THOSE CLAIMING Asylum are able to do so, whether it be at a legal port of entry OR sneaking across the border NOT at a legal port of entry. (Meaning they were not seeking asylum they were trying to sneak across the boarder got caught and was told to claim asylum.
3) By statistical fact the 3 nations of concern (Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador) the Asylum Denial rate is 80%)
4) Asylum is REAL and there are REAL People that deserve Asylum. HENCE the 30% that are Approved. The issue is that WE HAVE WAY MORE people claim asylum that should NOT BE because it is an "enabling" Law that is an escape goat if you are CAUGHT outside of a Legal port of entry.

I would Take your point about Asylum seeker WAY more serious if the approval rate was even closer to 50% meaning 1 out of 2 case, BUT its 70% at best.... 7/10 people are Claim it just because they can and a given right to do so even if they DONT and know they dont qualify.... its a catch all abused law that is watered down by those that WANT to abuse it.

AGAIN there are 30% that Are legitimate.... lets take those and screw the rest?

so? Because an asylee is denied you think that means that their case wasn't legitimate? Just recently an asylum seeker, that was transgender, was denied asylum....deported to El Salvador, then kidnapped, tortured and murdered.

Transgender asylum-seeker deported to El Salvador has been murdered, group says

so clearly, she had something to fear...and we were wrong.

One of our local Highschools had a Tuberculosis outbreak earlier this year.
A foregn born and unvetted student showed up with active TB and spread it to dozens of his classmates.
There is no effective vaccination for Tuberculosis and treatment for latent TN starts off at 3 months of taking two medications that have adverse side effects including potentially causing liver damage.

If you have active TB, that is your contagious, treatment is 6 to 9 months of 4 different medications that have horrible side effects.

If you contract multi-drug resistant TB, you're dead, and yes it's in the US.

This thread is news. It is your posts that belong in the partisan section.

Did you somehow forget that he didn't?

Once the accusaation is made, it lives on forever in their minds. Trump called the Mexican rapist and drug dealers, rapist and drug dealers. He didnt call mexicans any such thing.

Hey She wolf, Now here is my concern and "interpretation". NOW again lets be objective for a moment.

The debate went back with Sangha in the follow post. The Intent of the Asylum clause/laws And the usage/application.

Your example is based on an individual situation. In which an individual person suffered a potential HATE crime by another. COMPLETELY Despicable. But does it qualify the Scope and the intent of the asylum clause

So there is limited details.

1) Was she in fact persecuted. As we DO NOT know the FULL details of why she was in fact killed. It is fact that a transgedner was KILLED, but there is NO factual basis from the 3 reporting sources that state it was a HATE crime or persecution of gender.

2) The Nation of El Salvador has a HATE crime law. so a government or a particular faction is NOT acting upon a specified persecution. (As we do NOT know the factual details)

3) The burden of proof does in FACT lay on the one claiming. MAYBE USCIS got it wrong, maybe the reviews/case mangers got it wrong. But the fact is that she was denied then Deported BACK to here country as they did NOT find credible evidence.

4) This example doesn't really validates the point you are trying to imply.
4a) Did they apply legally to enter the US? No, they arrived within a Caravan with no legal documents, but legally applied for Asylum
4b) Did they prove credible evidence of fear- No as their case was denied
4c) They were then deported back to their country.
4d) their untimely death COMPLETELY inexcusable and disgusting does NOT validate if it was an actual Hate crime or related to persecution (no factual details yet) With that El Salvador has LEGAL Laws protecting LGBTQ period so the country itself is NOT persecuting Transgender and THUS the responsibility of the Origin nation to protect its own people.

THE US is NOT the worlds police.....

they are called asylees and it is a humanitarian tragedy that we are refusing to address.

Fine. Then you house them and pay for their meals and medical care.
